Job summary

adani capital pvt ltd is seeking an Officer- MDM to review and approve material master data requests via SAP MDG, govern data management processes and ensure data quality. The role involves collaborating with business teams and the Materials Guardian to resolve data quality issues and monitor governance metrics.

Responsibilities include extracting data from documents, classifying items, and standardizing spares data per company standards.

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications: BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with SAP MM training.
• Overall 4-6 years in material/master data management or related area.
• Proficiency in master data management processes and data cleansing.
• Technical knowledge of materials used in Energy, Mining, Ports and Logistics sectors.
• Knowledge of SQL, JSON and basic Python is advantageous.
• IT work experience or SAP implementation/data modeling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve material master data requests via SAP MDG per CRUD processes.
• Govern material master data management processes; define data objects and data quality metrics.
• Identify and report data quality issues related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Collaborate with business and Materials Functional Guardian to manage data quality issues.
• Verify data accuracy according to standards and ensure data capture completeness.
• Resolve escalated issues at tactical level and facilitate conflict resolution.
• Define, monitor and report on Data Governance metrics and activities.
• Extract data from documents and catalog items; assign Class and perform value extraction.
• Structure and standardize Spares Data per standards and catalog items.

Job description

Officer- MDM Responsibilities No. Key Accountabilities

• Perform the appropriate role in reviewing and approving material master data requests as per the defined CRUD processes such as create, update, extend, block, unblock through SAP MDG platform
• Govern material master data management processes, define material master data objects and data quality metrics
• Identify and report material master data quality issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a timely fashion
• Collaborates with business and Materials Functional Guardian to manage and resolve identified data quality issues
• Verify the accuracy of the data in accordance with data standards and ensure completeness of data captured
• Resolve escalated issues at tactical level and facilitate conflict resolution through establishing consistent understanding of data definitions
• Define, Monitor and report on Data Governance metrics and activities
• Extracting data from provided documents, cataloguing of items like assigning Class, value extraction etc
• Structuring & Standardization of Spares Data as per Standards; Cataloguing the Items

• RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) Overall 4-6 years in respective functional area Proficiency in master data management processes and data cleansing Technical knowledge of materials used in Energy, Mining, Ports and Logistics sectors Knowledge in SQL, JSON and simple python statements shall be added advantage IT work experience will be added advantage SAP implementation or data modeling (optional)
