Job summary

OMAM Consultants Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Lead - MDM to build and manage a high-performing team overseeing material master data governance, standardization, and maintenance across SAP systems for project materials, spares and assets.

You will drive data quality, governance, and improvements, collaborating with SCM, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to ensure accurate SAP Material Master data and efficient data migration.

Qualifications

• Experience in Material Master Data Management in EPC/manufacturing/Oil & Gas/pipes & fittings.
• 5+ years leading MDM teams with SAP ECC/SAP S4 HANA implementation experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, cleansing, classification, verification, and enrichment of ERP/CMMS master data in SAP.
• Govern SAP Material Master data creation, updates, and workflow processing.
• Form and lead an MDM team (2–5 members) across the organization.
• Define MDM strategy, governance, and standardization for material attributes.
• Drive material master creation and validation, ensuring no duplicates.
• Manage data migration and mass updates via Excel/CSV and SAP tools.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with SCM, Engineering, Quality, and Production.
• Implement data quality KPIs, audits, and continuous improvement.

Role & responsibilities: ----

The Lead - MDM (Master Date Management) will build and manage a high-performing team to oversee all aspects of material master data governance, standardization, and maintenance across SAP systems, focusing on project materials, spares & assets.

Role: -----

• Maintenance and Material Data creation, cleansing, classification, verification, validation, standardization, and enrichment activities for ERP / CMMS master data management (MDM) as per SAP PM / MM module compliance
• Create, maintain, and govern SAP Material Master data, including mass updates and workflow processing.
• Form and lead a dedicated MDM team (2-5 members) covering entire MDM operations for the Organization.
• Define MDM strategy, governance framework, and standardization processes for material attributes including Class, Type, DN/NB, Schedule, MOC, Engineering Standards (ASTM, BS, IS, JIS, DIN), Surface Treatment, End Connection, and Length.
• Drive SAP material master creation, validation, and maintenance ensuring duplicity is avoided
• Manage data migration, cleansing, and mass updates using Excel/CSV imports and SAP tools.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with SCM, Engineering, Quality, and Production teams.
• Implement and manage master data quality KPIs, audit processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile: ------

• Experience in Material Master Data Management, preferably in EPC/ manufacturing/ Oil & Gas/ pipes & fittings industry.

• 5+ years leading MDM teams with SAP ECC/ SAP S4 HANA implementation experience.
