Job summary

Ather Energy in Hosur is seeking a Material Controller to ensure inventory accuracy and strict operational control. You will own cycle counts, manage non-moving stock, and coordinate cross-functional activities to align warehouse operations with SQCDM goals.

The role requires B Tech and 8–12 years of experience, with hands-on experience in SAP, process audits, and material disposition for QC failures and RTV.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for process and system audits, ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Lead cycle counts, manage non-moving inventory, and align warehouse operations with SQCDM goals.
• Lead periodic cycle counting and perform RCA to ensure system movement accuracy across GRN, IQC, and RTV.
• Drive material disposition handling for QC failures and RTV; escalate aging inventory beyond 30 days.
• Monitor daily COGI reports and perform real-time SAP punching to align consumption with production.
• Manage non-moving inventory through periodic analysis and quarterly reports for non-BOM and NG materials.
• Implement automation and digitisation initiatives to reduce human dependency and optimize SOPs.

Role : Material Controller

About the Role:

• This role is for a Material Controller who will serve as the single point of contact for process and system audits, ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy and operational control.
• You will be responsible for leading cycle counts, managing non-moving inventory, and collaborating cross-functionally to align warehouse operations with organizational SQCDM goals.
• Lead periodic cycle counting (quarterly, half-yearly, annual) and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure system movement accuracy across GRN, IQC, and RTV.
• Drive timely material disposition handling for QC failures and RTV, ensuring aging inventory beyond 30 days is escalated and controlled.
• Monitor daily COGI reports and perform real-time SAP punching to ensure system consumption aligns with completed production.
• Manage non-moving inventory through periodic analysis, liquidation follow-ups, and thepreparation of quarterly reports for non-BOM and NG materials.
• Implement automation and digitisation initiatives to reduce human dependency and optimize warehouse work instructions (SOPs).
