Material Compliance Engineer / IMDS Compliance Engineer
- Drive end-to-end material compliance activities throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to global automotive regulations, environmental standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Apply strong engineering and regulatory expertise to assess material compositions, validate compliance with requirements such as IMDS, REACH, etc and other applicable legislation.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, purchasing, suppliers, and compliance teams to resolve material-related issues and ensure regulatory conformity across all vehicle components.
- Support manufacturing and product readiness by identifying compliance risks early, driving corrective actions, and ensuring sustainable and legally compliant material selections.
- Monitor evolving global material regulations and industry standards, providing guidance to engineering teams and integrating compliance requirements into product development processes.
- Ensure transparent communication with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers while maintaining robust documentation, audit readiness, and compliance reporting.
What should you bring along
Education
- Minimum qualification: B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering
Experience
- Experience in Material Compliance, IMDS, Product Compliance, Environmental Compliance, or Regulatory Affairs.
- Understanding of automotive material reporting requirements and product lifecycle processes.
- Experience interacting with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Ability to analyze complex Bills of Materials (BOM) and material declarations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
- Effective stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a global and multidisciplinary environment.
- Drives compliant, sustainable, and production‑ready material solutions.
Must have technical skill
