Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. in Pune invites an experienced EHS & Material Compliance Engineer to drive regulatory compliance and material declarations for Automotive and Powertrain components.

The role involves maintaining EHS documentation, coordinating with global teams, and developing automated workflows using Copilot or similar tools to improve efficiency. Qualifications

  • 38 years of relevant experience in Material Compliance, Regulatory Compliance or EHS.
  • Automotive/Auto Components/OEM/Tier-1/Tier-2 industry experience preferred.
  • Hands-on Material Compliance experience is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Powertrain, Engine, Engine Components, Transmission or Drivetrain is preferred.
  • Knowledge of REACH, RoHS, GADSL, ELV, TSCA and/or IMDS.
  • Experience with Material Declarations and supplier compliance documentation.
  • Good understanding of EHS documentation and processes.
  • Experience with Quentic or similar EHS/compliance systems is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support Material Compliance activities for Automotive and Powertrain components.
  • Review and maintain regulatory compliance requirements including REACH, RoHS, GADSL, ELV, TSCA and IMDS.
  • Review supplier material declarations and validate product/material compliance information.
  • Maintain EHS documentation including Risk Assessments, SDS, LoToTo documents, training materials and compliance records.
  • Ensure proper document control, revision management, record retention and compliance documentation accuracy.
  • Support regulatory audits, audit readiness, compliance monitoring and corrective action tracking.
  • Maintain and update EHS/compliance information in Quentic or similar EHS management systems.
  • Prepare EHS and Material Compliance reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Track compliance KPIs, risks, issues, trends and open actions.
  • Coordinate with global SME teams, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, suppliers and other stakeholders.
  • Support Material Compliance requirements for Powertrain, Engine, Transmission, Drivetrain and related automotive components.
  • Develop and maintain automated workflows for EHS and Material Compliance documentation using Microsoft Copilot or comparable approved automation/AI tools.
  • Validate source data, document templates, revision status and automated outputs before release.
  • Support process standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

Role & Responsibilities:

We are looking for an EHS & Material Compliance Engineer with hands-on experience in Automotive / Auto Components and preferably Powertrain-related products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Material Compliance activities for Automotive and Powertrain components.
  • Review and maintain regulatory compliance requirements including REACH, RoHS, GADSL, ELV, TSCA and IMDS.
  • Review supplier material declarations and validate product/material compliance information.
  • Maintain EHS documentation including Risk Assessments, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), LoToTo documents, training materials and compliance records.

Preferred Candidate Profile:
  • 38 years of relevant experience in Material Compliance, Regulatory Compliance or EHS.
  • Automotive / Automobile / Auto Components / OEM / Tier-1 / Tier-2 industry experience preferred.
  • Hands‑on Material Compliance experience is highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Powertrain, Engine, Engine Components, Transmission or Drivetrain is preferred.
  • Knowledge of REACH, RoHS, GADSL, ELV, TSCA and/or IMDS.
  • Experience with Material Declarations and supplier compliance documentation.
  • Basic to good understanding of EHS documentation and processes.
  • Experience with Quentic or similar EHS/compliance systems is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and compliance reporting.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, workflow automation, VBA or similar automation tools is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional coordination skills.
  • Good written and verbal English communication.
  • Candidate should be willing to work from Pune.
