Job summary

Genpact is hiring a Sr. Specialist - F&A - MDM to lead master data governance across core domains (customer, vendor, product). You will ensure data quality, timely updates, and compliance with SOPs while mentoring the team and driving process improvements.

Role requires strong MDM experience, SAP data mastery, and finance knowledge. Office-based in India with flex-time shifts; opportunity to impact global data ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting/Commerce/Economics/Finance
• Masters in Finance
• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) and SAP data domains
• Knowledge of data governance, quality controls, and SOPs

Responsibilities

• Follow defined SOPs for all master data deliverables and domains
• Own performance for customer/vendor/product master data and timelines
• Maintain SAP product master data per SOP and business inputs
• Mentor team members and set milestones; review progress
• Raise incidents to support desks and drive data quality improvements
• Understand data flows, enforce change processes, and document learnings
• Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure SLA adherence and timely delivery of tasks

Job Description

Follow defined standard operating processes and procedures for all deliverables (processes) Take ownership of performance against all the assigned Master data processes and key categories within customer master, vendor master & Product master Execute and manage the day-to-day activities for master data domains Ensure the quality, controls and governance is adhered to Mentor and Coach, the team members on the process Set milestones for the team to execute Review progress against the set milestones and ensure adherence Manage any transactional changes related to the Master data management activities Ensure timely and accurate update of all master data records. Responsible for delivering all the tasks on-time, every-time. Ensure that the schedule is reviewed as circumstances change. (timeliness) Ensure that all the feedbacks and the learning from the home, office, client, field etc. is documented and applied to the master data procedures to improve accuracy (Baseline the learning) Be responsible for maintaining the SLA of each period and the delivery performance Maintain Product master data in SAP as per business input and SOP Understanding of commercial structures and Category/Product Hierarchies Highlight and take appropriate help from the Lead on SOP deviations or issues Raise incident tickets to the relevant helpdesks when there is an issue Participate in idea generation and improvement activities Comprehend incoming and outgoing data flows for SAP master data Comprehend, explain and enforce master data creation and change processes. Good knowledge of governing policies around Product data as per the area of work Update /maintain the departmental procedures (SOP’s) tools, and metrics for the master data team Support special projects as needed Identifies areas for data quality and process improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies Align data management processes in the business’ value chains and process areas Have a continuous improvement mind set and support improvement projects from data perspective
