Job summary

WalkingTree Technologies in India is seeking a Marketing Executive to own WordPress development and SEO end-to-end, building, maintaining and optimizing company websites to drive organic growth. You will coordinate with content and design teams, perform on-page and technical SEO, monitor rankings and site performance, and assist with basic HTML/CSS/PHP tweaks as needed.

• Strong knowledge of on-page and technical SEO.
• Experience with WordPress plugins, themes, and page builders.
• Basic HTML, CSS, and PHP skills.
• Familiarity with Core Web Vitals and site speed optimization.
• Proficiency with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages.

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive who can own our WordPress development and SEO work end to end. You’ll be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing our websites, and driving organic growth through solid on-page and technical SEO practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and landing pages
• Manage themes, plugins, page builders (Elementor/WPBakery or similar), and site performance
• Handle on-page SEO: meta tags, headers, internal linking, schema markup, keyword mapping
• Run technical SEO audits and fix issues around site speed, crawlability, indexing, and Core Web Vitals
• Track rankings, traffic, and search performance using Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEO tools (SEMrush/Ahrefs)
• Coordinate with content and design teams to align SEO strategy with new pages, blogs, and campaigns
• Implement redirects, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and structured data
• Stay updated on Google algorithm changes and adjust strategy accordingly
• Support basic HTML/CSS/PHP customizations as needed

Required Skills

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with WordPress development
• Strong working knowledge of SEO tools: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar
• Understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, and keyword research
• Basic HTML, CSS, and PHP knowledge
