The Mall Marketing Executive is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring marketing initiatives that drive footfall, enhance tenant relationships, and strengthen the mall's brand presence within its catchment area. This role bridges creative campaign development with operational execution, working closely with tenants, vendors, and internal teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
The role involves developing and implementing the mall's marketing calendar, including seasonal campaigns, promotional events, and tenant collaboration activities designed to increase visitor traffic and dwell time. The executive coordinates with tenants and brand partners to align promotional activities with mall-wide initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and maximizing mutual benefit.
Managing social media channels, digital advertising, and content creation falls within this role, along with tracking engagement metrics to refine strategy. The executive also oversees on-ground event execution, from concept approval through vendor coordination, logistics, and post-event evaluation.
Budget management is a core function, requiring the executive to plan marketing spend across campaigns, negotiate with vendors and media partners, and report on return on investment to senior management. Building and maintaining relationships with local media, influencers, and community organizations supports broader brand visibility efforts.
The role also includes conducting competitor and market analysis to identify trends, benchmark mall performance against comparable properties, and recommend strategic adjustments. Regular reporting on footfall data, campaign performance, and tenant satisfaction feeds into quarterly business reviews with mall ownership or management.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field is typically required, with two to five years of relevant experience in retail marketing, mall operations, or a similar consumer-facing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and basic analytics reporting.
Successful candidates typically demonstrate strong project management abilities, creative thinking balanced with commercial awareness, negotiation skills for vendor and tenant interactions, and comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience with CRM or marketing automation platforms is advantageous.
