Job Summary
We are looking for a Marketing Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing market trends, identifying potential customers and business opportunities, generating genuine and qualified leads, and supporting the company’s overall business development activities.
The candidate will work closely with the Sales and Business Development teams to ensure that marketing activities generate measurable business opportunities and contribute directly to revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market research to identify new markets, industries, customers, and business opportunities.
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and pricing trends.
- Identify potential industries and customer segments for the company's products and services.
- Prepare regular market analysis and opportunity reports.
- Track competitor activities and provide useful insights to the management and sales team.
2. Lead Generation & Lead Quality
- Generate genuine and relevant B2B leads through various channels.
- Identify and research potential customers, companies, dealers, distributors, and industrial clients.
- Build and maintain a database of prospective customers.
- Verify lead information before forwarding leads to the sales team.
- Focus on qualified leads rather than only increasing the number of leads.
- Track lead sources and analyze which sources generate the best-quality opportunities.
- Regularly update lead status and maintain accurate records.
3. Business Development Support
- Identify new business opportunities and potential customer accounts.
- Support the sales team with prospect lists, customer information, industry data, and market intelligence.
- Assist in identifying new geographical markets and customer segments.
- Develop strategies to increase customer acquisition and business opportunities.
- Follow up with marketing-generated leads in coordination with the sales team.
- Analyze lead conversion and identify reasons for successful or unsuccessful conversions.
4. Digital Marketing & Marketing Activities
- Analyze the performance of digital marketing campaigns.
- Monitor website, social media, email marketing, Google/search campaigns, and other lead-generation channels.
- Coordinate with internal/external marketing agencies where required.
- Suggest improvements to marketing campaigns based on data and results.
- Track campaign-wise leads, inquiries, conversions, and cost per lead.
- Develop new ideas for improving the company's online presence and lead generation.
5. Sales & Marketing Data Analysis
- Maintain marketing and lead-generation MIS reports.
- Track:
- Number of leads generated
- Qualified leads
- Lead conversion rate
- Source-wise lead performance
- Customer inquiries
- Sales opportunities
- Campaign performance
- Customer acquisition cost
- Prepare weekly and monthly marketing performance reports.
- Provide actionable insights to management for improving sales and marketing performance.
6. Customer & Industry Research
- Research existing and potential customers to understand their business requirements.
- Identify companies that may have a requirement for the company's products.
- Study industry developments and upcoming projects that can create business opportunities.
- Identify decision-makers and relevant contacts within target organizations.
7. Coordination with Sales Team
- Work closely with Sales Engineers and Sales Managers to understand lead requirements.
- Share qualified leads with the appropriate sales team.
- Track whether leads are contacted and followed up on by the sales team.
- Collect feedback from the sales team regarding lead quality.
- Improve lead-generation activities based on sales feedback.
- Maintain proper coordination between Marketing and Sales.

The performance of the Marketing Analyst will be measured based on:

Required Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills.

Preferred Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Marketing Analytics, B2B Marketing, Lead Generation, Business Development, or a related field.
- Experience in industrial/manufacturing/B2B marketing will be preferred.
- Experience with CRM, lead-generation platforms, Google Analytics, digital marketing tools, and Excel will an advantage.
