  • Market Intelligence & Market Expansion: Conduct comprehensive market research across the energy and related industrial sectors to identify market trends, growth drivers, emerging opportunities, risks, and potential new markets for business expansion.
  • Market Sizing & Opportunity Assessment: Analyse market size, growth potential, demand drivers, TAM/SAM/SOM, applications, customer segments and geographic attractiveness to identify and prioritise high-potential markets and opportunities.
  • Industry Intelligence: Monitor developments across relevant energy and industrial sectors, including industry investments, capacity additions, new projects, regulatory changes, technology developments and other factors that may influence market demand.
  • Market Segmentation: Segment markets by industry, application, geography, customer type and other relevant parameters to identify priority segments and develop focused market-entry and penetration strategies.
  • Competitor Intelligence: Conduct detailed analysis of competitors, including products, applications, technology, pricing, positioning, customer base, installed base, distribution/channel strategy and go-to-market approach.
  • Customer & Account Intelligence: Identify current and potential customers across territories and market segments, assess their business potential, applications and requirements, and develop a prioritised target-account database.
  • Decision-Maker Mapping: Develop and maintain a database of relevant customer decision-makers and influencers, including their roles, contact details and organisational relationships, and ensure the information remains current.
  • Application & Demand Intelligence: Analyse end-use applications and customer requirements to identify areas of increasing demand, emerging applications, replacement opportunities and potential product-market opportunities.
  • Project & Opportunity Intelligence: Track upcoming projects, investments, plant expansions, capacity additions and other market developments that may generate potential business opportunities, and provide relevant intelligence to Sales.
  • Commercial & Pricing Intelligence: Analyse competitor pricing, commercial positioning, product offerings and market practices to provide inputs for pricing decisions and improve product positioning.
  • Market Share & Performance Analysis: Track market share, product performance, segment performance, geographic performance and channel effectiveness to identify gaps, opportunities and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Sales & Market Planning Support: Provide market and commercial insights to Sales and leadership teams to support territory planning, sales forecasting, budgeting, target setting and market penetration initiatives.
  • Actionable Market Insights: Monitor changes in market dynamics and translate findings into actionable recommendations for Sales and leadership, including opportunities to pursue, markets to prioritise, customers to target and risks to address.
  • Risk & Opportunity Analysis: Identify commercial, competitive, regulatory, technological and market-entry risks and assess their potential impact, while recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Business Analytics: Collect, analyse and interpret internal and external data using analytical and Business Intelligence tools to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and risks relevant to business decisions.
  • Business Intelligence & MIS: Develop and maintain relevant BI dashboards, MIS reports and management reports to provide visibility on market, sales and business performance.
  • Data Analysis & Business Queries: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to answer business questions from leadership and cross-functional teams and provide clear, fact-based recommendations.
  • Customer & Market Analytics: Analyse customer segments, buying patterns, purchasing drivers, business potential and historical trends to support targeted sales and market development initiatives.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare market intelligence reports, management presentations, dashboards, competitor updates and periodic market reviews for leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Data Management & Governance: Maintain market, customer, competitor and industry databases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, timely updates and appropriate documentation of data sources and analytical processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management and leadership teams to understand business requirements and translate market and business data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • External Intelligence Sources: Identify, evaluate and use credible industry reports, government publications, market databases, customer information, competitor sources and other relevant external data to develop reliable market intelligence.
