We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Shop Floor Engineer to lead and execute cost reduction and Value Engineering (VE) projects on the manufacturing floor. The candidate will play a key role in driving process improvements, conducting VE workshops, and collaborating with global cross-functional teams to deliver measurable savings and operational excellence. This role demands strong technical, analytical, and project management expertise, along with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across different levels of the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

Lead and manage Value Engineering (VE) projects on the manufacturing shop floor with a target of delivering $1.5M+ annual cost savings.
Conduct and facilitate VE workshops with engineering teams, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Drive both technical and financial feasibility assessments of cost reduction opportunities.
Collaborate with supply chain and global teams to deploy innovative solutions across multiple regions and functions.
Apply analytical methods and tools to identify high-impact cost savings opportunities and ensure structured execution.
Generate and present detailed project reports, metrics, and cost savings updates for leadership reviews.
Support deployment of process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
Liaise with cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, and finance to ensure alignment and successful delivery of project goals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a similar discipline.
Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience in manufacturing engineering, shop floor execution, or cost optimization roles.
Prior exposure to Value Engineering (VE) projects is highly desirable.
Proven experience leading complex projects with cross-functional and global teams.
Strong manufacturing knowledge with demonstrated ability to perform cost analysis and identify value opportunities.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Hands-on experience with program/project management methodologies and tools.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and convey technical and financial information across all organizational levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Strong data analysis and decision-making skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Team player with collaborative working style, able to operate across global and multicultural teams.
Flexibility to work across different time zones (North America, Europe, Asia) as needed.
Proficiency in English language is essential.
