Job summary

APA Engineering in Chennai is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to develop FAI/PPAP reports, modify drawings, and prepare laser inspection records. The role requires hands-on work with 2-D drawings and sheet metal processes, with additional emphasis on SolidWorks and AutoCAD capabilities.

You will create quality plans, 3D models, and detailed drawings while coordinating with supply chain to confirm delivery dates.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge in 2-D drawing reading.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge in sheet metal manufacturing & assembly operations.
• Solidworks knowledge is an added advantage.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Creation of First Article Inspection (FAI) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) reports.
• Modification of AutoCAD drawings.
• Preparation of Laser inspection reports.
• Creation of Quality Plans, Receiving, In-process inspection plans.
• Creation of 3D Models and detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Supporting supply chain department by confirming of order delivery date, expediting delivery date and IFS updation(ERP) etc,
• IFS Technical data management & documentation (ERP).
• Collection, review, and maintenance of SQA and ISO documentation.
• Preparation of Product cost estimation sheet.
• Communicating with clients regarding project status, technical queries, and other project-related matters.

EXPERIENCE:

• 0 - 3 years experience
• Quality assurance /Sheet metal fabrication/ Quality Control / Knowledge in Modelling software

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Good knowledge in 2-D Drawing Reading.
• Effective communication skills are a must. (Written & Oral).
• Knowledge in Sheet metal manufacturing & assembly operations.
