Job summary

Trelleborg India Private Limited, based in Bangalore, seeks a Manufacturing Technology Project Manager – APAC to lead and standardize advanced manufacturing technologies for elastomer parts, R2M, R2P, and LSR processes.

Role focuses on process development, productivity and cost efficiency across APAC with travel across sites and global collaboration. 8–12 years in manufacturing and strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with rubber, plastics, and LSR manufacturing technologies and processes.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in manufacturing with process development and project management.
• Experience leading cross‑functional manufacturing technology projects from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional Operations strategy by driving development, implementation, and standardization of advanced manufacturing technologies for molded elastomer parts and related processes.
• Identify, evaluate and implement state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency and operational excellence.
• Ensure effective project management, process documentation, knowledge transfer, and deployment of best practices across APAC.

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Manufacturing Technology Project Manager, APAC to join our Project Management Department. This position is based in Bangalore.

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Technology Project Manager – APAC is responsible for leading and supporting the regional Operations strategy by driving the development, implementation, and standardization of advanced manufacturing technologies and processes for molded elastomer parts, O-rings, multi-component products, Rubber-to-Metal (R2M), Rubber-to-Plastic (R2P), Liquid Silicone Rubber-to-Plastic (LSR2P), plastic components, and other strategic manufacturing initiatives.

This role plays a key part in advancing the Process Development Center (PDC) concept by leading process innovation, conducting applied research, optimizing manufacturing processes, and aligning technology development with the product line strategy. The position focuses on identifying, evaluating, and implementing state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies to improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across the APAC region.

The role also ensures effective project management, process documentation, knowledge transfer, technical training, and the deployment of best practices to support global manufacturing standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing technologies for rubber, plastics, and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR). Hands-on experience with injection molding, rubber over molding of plastic components, and multi-component manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in manufacturing process development, industrialization, and project management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading cross‑functional manufacturing technology projects from concept through production implementation, ensuring successful execution and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience with manufacturing process optimization, tooling development, automation, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
• Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in one or more Asian languages is considered an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross‑functional teams across the APAC region.
• Willingness to travel extensively to manufacturing sites across the APAC region and globally to support project implementation, supplier development, and operational excellence initiatives.
