Job summary

Arabelle Solutions in India seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to define and finalize fabrication processes, drive lean initiatives, and ensure safety and quality with zero deviations. You will coordinate with lead factories to implement best practices and align stakeholders for on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include creating MOPs/MPPs/WIs, nesting and plate planning, fixture planning, and validation of process hours.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical/Production with 5+ years in heavy fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and drawing standards.
• Experience in CNC cutting, plate work, welding, PWHT and NDT.

Responsibilities

• Define and finalize fabrication processes with MOPs/MPPs/WIs.
• Prepare nesting and plate requirements in detail.
• Plan fixtures and delivery lists for production.
• Validate MOP hours and process steps with shop.
• Coordinate with shop planners for scheduling and capacity.

Job description

Establish the detailed manufacturing processes of the job utilizing own experience and coordination with lead factories for implementing their best processes and practices. Drive the culture of continuous improvements and take lean initiatives. Drive and coordinate the execution of Machine Shop operations, machining and assembly processes related to machining wing to wing with (SQDC)Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.

Responsibilities:

• Define and finalize the manufacturing process in the form of MOPs , MPPs, Work instructions & DRs for every component of fabrication component well in advance to the start of production.
• Prepare Nesting & calculate plate requirements in detail for every project of fabrication.
• Calculate Fixturing item requirement also.
• Preparation of delivery lists for dispatch.
• Validation of MOP Hours and process steps with shop.
• Coordinate and support Shop Planner for project scheduling, resource mapping. and provide industrial scheme for sub-contract process & bought-out item based on current capacity & resource of shop.
• Identifies & resolves technical issues prior to the start and during the production processes.
• Provide NCR dispositions and coordinate with engineering as applicable and implement corrective actions in future jobs.
• Record the learnings and process improvements and sustain through continuous updating of manufacturing process.
• Usage of various quality and lean tools viz. VSM, PFMEA, 8D, KAIZEN and 5S Empower and support shop engineers & supplier for process change suggestions and implementation.
• Drive new product qualification and prepare related documentation.
• Continuously improve manufacturing process Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.

• EHS and Lean On Time Delivery COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) control New product qualification Root cause analysis & Risk assessment Continuous improvement & Cost reduction

Desired Skill set:

• Good process engineering capabilities and analytical skills.
• Thorough knowledge of all fabrication processes.
• Key fabrication process – CNC Oxy cutting, Plate bending & Rolling, Fit-up assembly, Welding Assembly, PWHT, Blasting, painting and inspection/quality & NDT method.
• Thorough understanding of Engineering Drawings, Standards and Specifications Strong EHS & quality focus Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Good Software skills (AutoCAD, Catia, SAP)
• Good knowledge of ASME, EN, IBR, IS standard.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to identify and implement cost reduction strategies based upon process improvements and experience.
• Ability to develop credibility with employees, manager, and peers High attention to detail and accuracy of every task and Anticipate the future risks or challenges in advance Vendor development skills for new products and processes development.
• Demonstrated integrity – accept and adhere to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, and actions when dealing with others.

Required Qualifications:

• BE/BTech/Diploma in Mechanical /Production min 5 years of relevant experience – min 2 year core experience of production/process of heavy fabrication.
