Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Manager - NPME Tractor Competencies to drive manufacturing engineering excellence in Nagpur. You will evaluate designs for assembly, develop plant layouts, and oversee the procurement and commissioning of assembly and material handling systems.

The role requires 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, deep knowledge of tractor manufacturing processes, and strong expertise in PFMEA, SPC, and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of tractor manufacturing processes, plant layouts, and assembly planning.
• Experience with SAP and Teamcenter for BOM handling and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product design/concepts and drawings for ease of assembly using virtual DFA techniques.
• Plan plant layouts and develop assembly processes, fixtures, tools, and gauges.
• Procure, install and commission assembly and material handling equipment.
• Prepare PFMEA, PFD, Control Plans and SOPs for new models.
• Train manufacturing/QA teams for new model assembly processes.
• Coordinate with plant teams during productionizing CME SPOC and plant installations.
• Support SOVP audits and APPAP closure; propose manufacturing strategies and investments.

Manager - NPME Tractor Competencies

Overall Feedback

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Evaluation of product design /concepts/Drawing for ease of assembly & disassembly using virtual DFA technique
• Plant layouts preparation, Design & development of assembly processes, Finalization & development of fixtures, tooling, gauges etc.
• Design, Development, procurement, installation and commissioning of assembly & material handling facilities, equipment’s
• Preparation of Process FMEA, PFD, Control Plans & SOP for new models
• Prepare, execute & impart training to manufacturing/QA for new model assembly process
• Establish & monitor assembly process during Gen-1/Gen-2/Seeding/Pilot batches
• Audits of processes and system during SOVP & support for APPAP closure
• Formulation of Mfg. strategy proposals for new product.
• Workout mfg. investment for new products
• Provide input for assembly make Vs. buy proposals
• Conduct DFA & ensure implementation of input.
• Co-ordination with Plant Team for Initial phase of Productionizing CME SPOC at Plant Installation and commissioning of assembly, testing Equipment
