Job summary
Motherson Technology Services Limited is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated systems in our manufacturing environments. The role focuses on increasing production efficiency, reducing downtime, improving quality, and enabling smart manufacturing through robotics, PLCs, and industrial software.
You will lead green field projects from concept to commissioning, design automation solutions for production lines, prepare technical docs,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
- Experience in highly automated environments with conveyors, vision systems and robotics.
- Knowledge of CAD and SOLIDWORKS.
Responsibilities
- Handle green field projects from concept to implementation.
- Production process design.
- Automation concept design and implement manufacturing automation systems for production lines.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and engineering reports.
- Evaluation and selection of automation vendors.
- Equipment validation at vendor end.
- Lead installation, commissioning and qualification of equipment at factory.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, cycle time, and equipment reliability.
- Continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance and design teams.
- Train operators and technicians on automated systems.

A Manufacturing Engineering Automation Engineer designs, develops, implements, and improves automated systems used in manufacturing environments. The role focuses on increasing production efficiency, reducing downtime, improving product quality, and supporting smart manufacturing initiatives through robotics, PLCs, industrial software, and process optimization.
- Handle Green Field projects from Concept till implementation.
- Production process Design
- Automation Concept Design & implement manufacturing automation systems for production lines
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and engineering reports
- Evaluation & selection of Automation Vendor
- Equipment validation at vendor end.

- Should have worked in highly automated environment consist of conveyor system, vision systems & Robotic.
- Industrial Robotics and Motion control
- Able to understand Pneumatics and Hydraulics circuits & Trouble shoot the same.
- Should have Knowledge in Conveyor Systems, Lifters, Transfer Tables.
- Knowledge in Industrial Motors, Servo Motors, Servo Drives.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Familiar in CAD, SPC & SOLID works
