Job summary

Toshiba JSW Power Systems is seeking an MEG Machining professional to study engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and develop MPP/MI and PPAP documents. You will independently operate CNC machines, select tools, and use Gauging/inspection equipment.

Proficiency in G-Code/M-Code for turning and milling is required, with AutoCAD and MS Office as core supporting tools. The role demands strong collaboration with Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure robust process development and manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Study and interpret engineering drawings from Design
• Apply GD&T symbols and tolerancing rules
• Develop Manufacturing Process Plans (MPP), Manufacturing Instructions (MI) and PPAP documents
• Independently operate CNC machines
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
• Use inspection gauges and instruments effectively
• Read CNC programs in G-Code/M-Code for turning and milling
• Identify raw materials and understand material properties
• Work with AutoCAD and MS Office tools

Job description

Key Responsibilities & Skills Required For MEG Machining:-

1. Ability to study and understand engineering drawings received from the Design Department.
2. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) symbols, standards, and requirements.
3. Drive machining process development and prepare Manufacturing Process Plan (MPP), Manufacturing Instructions (MI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) - Commonly knowing as PPAP Documents.
4. Capable of independently operating and handling CNC machines.
5. Strong knowledge of machining cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling selection
6. Proficiency in using measuring instruments, gauges, and inspection equipment
7. CNC Programming Knowledge - Ability to read and understand CNC programs, Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming for both Turning and Milling operations.
8. Ability to identify raw materials used for machined components, Understanding of engineering materials and their basic properties.
9. Software – AutoCAD (Must), Basic knowledge in MS – Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
