Job description

Job Responsibilities

• CNC Programming & Machining: Develop, optimize, and simulate NC programs for CNC/VMC machines. Define appropriate cutting parameters to ensure efficient machining and optimal tool life.
• Process Improvement: Analyze existing manufacturing workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Reduce setup and cycle times to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Tooling & Fixturing: Design and implement fixtures for machining operations. Select appropriate cutting tools and tooling strategies for production.
• Technical Documentation: Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Prepare detailed work instructions, routing sheets, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Quality & Troubleshooting: Support quality control initiatives and machining accuracy. Identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
• Vendor & Safety Management: Coordinate with external vendors for tooling, fixtures, and materials. Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop floor safety regulations.

Job Specification / Qualifications

• Educational: B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. M.Tech is an added advantage.
• Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in CNC programming, machining processes, and manufacturing operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machining, tooling, and process optimization.
