Job summary

AQM Technologies is seeking a Payments Business Analyst to gather and document requirements for domestic and international payment systems. You will translate business needs into functional specifications and collaborate with operations, technology, and stakeholders to deliver compliant payment solutions.

Responsibilities include validating workflows, testing, and supporting production, ensuring adherence to SWIFT, SFMS, and national standards.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to domestic and international payment systems.
• Support implementation and enhancement of payment processing solutions.
• Validate payment workflows, message formats, and transaction processing logic.
• Collaborate with business users, operations teams, and technology teams for requirement clarification and solution delivery.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, payment standards, and SWIFT messaging protocols.
• Participate in testing, UAT, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and BRDs.

Job description

• Strong understanding of Domestic Banking Payment Systems and International Banking Practices.
• Hands-on experience with domestic payment channels including:
• NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer)
• RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement)
• IMPS (P2P, P2A, A2A)
• UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
• Payment Gateways
• SFMS (Structured Financial Messaging System)
• Good knowledge of SWIFT Messaging Standards and International Payments.
• Experience working with SWIFT MT message formats including:
• MT103 – Customer Credit Transfer
• MT940 – Customer Statement Message
• MT942 – Interim Transaction Report
• MT111 – Request for Stop Payment
• MT112 – Status of Request for Stop Payment
• Understanding of end-to-end payment processing lifecycle, reconciliation, settlements, and transaction monitoring.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Experience working with Banking/Payments applications and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
