This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Managing Consultant based in India.

As a Managing Consultant, you will lead SAP data migration programs and oversee the successful delivery of complex business transformation projects. You will combine strategic project leadership with hands‑on expertise in SAP data migration, data quality, and governance. Working closely with clients, senior stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards. You will lead and develop teams across onsite and offshore delivery environments, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise‑wide data initiatives, strengthen client partnerships, and drive continuous improvements. You will also contribute to solution development and help organizations unlock greater value from their business data.

Accountabilities

• Provide overall leadership for moderately complex SAP data migration programs, including project planning, delivery strategies, and execution across project teams and managed service environments.
• Organize and coordinate project teams to ensure milestones, deliverables, and quality expectations are consistently achieved.
• Establish and enforce best practices, methodologies, and development standards across data migration activities.
• Coordinate closely with client Project Management Offices (PMOs), subject matter experts, and business process stakeholders to maintain alignment and ensure effective communication.
• Manage resource planning, allocate responsibilities, and coordinate specialist expertise according to project requirements.
• Lead onsite and offshore teams, oversee knowledge transfer, mentor team members, and support professional development.
• Develop and maintain project status dashboards, performance metrics, and management reports to monitor progress and identify potential risks.
• Estimate new project requirements and assess the resources and effort needed for additional work.
• Apply data migration and data governance methodologies, using specialized tools to develop migration rules and solutions aligned with project specifications.
• Analyze business processes, technical data structures, and functional requirements to design effective migration strategies.
• Contribute to integrated data migration solutions through data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with client and internal teams.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure compliance with established delivery standards.

Requirements

• 10–12 years of SAP techno‑functional or functional experience, including participation in at least five full SAP implementation lifecycles.
• At least 12 years of overall experience working on IT projects.
• 8–10 years of business process experience, with expert‑level knowledge of one or more SAP functional modules, including FI, CO, MM, SD, PM, PP, PS, EHS, or HCM.
• Proven experience leading teams or specific project modules, preferably in onsite and offshore delivery environments.
• Strong expertise in data migration project management, data quality, data warehousing, data analysis, and data conversion planning.
• Proficiency in data migration tools such as Syniti ADM/ADMM, Cransoft, DSP, SAP Data Services, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong understanding of SAP data structures, business processes, data governance methodologies, and migration development standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or another analytical or technical discipline, or at least four years of relevant professional experience.
• Preferred proficiency in Microsoft SQL, including writing queries, understanding relational databases, and working with SQL table structures.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and maintain accountability for project outcomes.
