Job summary

Argano in India (Hybrid) is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Consultant for SAP Data Migration to lead data migration workstreams across the full lifecycle, from scoping to go-live, using SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit (DMC).

The role requires 6+ years of experience in SAP data migration, strong ETL and data integration skills, and hands-on experience with S/4HANA DMC and multiple databases. You will collaborate with functional teams and provide hypercare post go-live.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in SAP Data Migration and related workstreams.
• Hands-on with SAP S/4HANA DMC, migration objects, mapping and transformation rules.
• Strong ETL and data integration across multiple source/target systems.
• Experience with data validation, cleansing, reconciliation and load cycles.

Responsibilities

• Identify in-scope migration objects and plan load sequence and dependencies.
• Build and maintain source-to-target mappings, value mappings and transformation rules.
• Prepare migration docs, including mapping documents and test scripts.
• Plan and execute migrations using SAP S/4HANA DMC with staging tables.
• Extract and transform data from Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and other DBs.
• Load data into templates and staging tables; run simulations and fix errors.
• Execute Mock Loads, SIT, UAT and Production cutover loads with runbooks and go-live support.
• Provide hypercare after go-live and document issues and fixes.
• Perform pre-load and post-load validation and obtain business sign-off.
• Monitor and schedule migration jobs and analyze root causes for fixes.

Job Title: Senior Technical Consultant – SAP Data Migration

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on SAP Data Migration Consultant who can independently deliver data migration workstreams across the full lifecycle, from object scoping through cutover and go-live, using the SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit (DMC), preferably on SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify in-scope migration objects, assess SAP standard object coverage, define the object inventory, and determine load sequence and dependencies.
• Build and maintain source-to-target mappings, value mappings and transformation rules with functional teams.
• Prepare and maintain migration documentation, including mapping documents, transformation logic and test scripts.
• Plan and execute migrations in SAP S/4HANA DMC using staging table and file-based approaches.
• Extract, cleanse and transform data from legacy systems and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Sybase and Teradata.
• Prepare and load data into templates and staging tables; run simulations, analyse logs, and resolve errors through correction and delta reload cycles.
• Execute and own Mock Loads, SIT, UAT and Production cutover loads, including runbooks, cutover timing, defect tracking and go-live support.
• Provide hypercare support after go-live and document issues, fixes and process changes.
• Perform pre-load and post-load validation and reconciliation (record counts, key fields, financial balances) and obtain business sign-off.
• Monitor migration jobs, manage scheduling and dependencies, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in SAP data conversion and migration, with at least one end-to-end project, preferably SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA.
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA DMC, including SAP standard migration objects, mapping and value rules, simulation, log analysis and error handling.
• Strong experience in ETL and data integration across different source and target systems.
• Experience in data validation, cleansing and reconciliation, and in executing Mock, SIT, UAT and Production loads.
• Advanced Excel skills for reconciling large data sets.
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, including analysing job logs and identifying root causes of failures.
• Working knowledge of master and transactional data across FI, CO, MM, SD and PP.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Competencies: Independent ownership, analytical problem solving, attention to data accuracy, cutover discipline, and clear communication with client and functional teams.
