Vanguard in Hyderabad, India seeks a senior UX leader to guide strategy, design direction, architecture, and content disciplines across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.

You will hire and mentor a design crew, drive UX strategy, set KPIs, and collaborate with product owners and developers to deliver cohesive digital experiences while upholding brand standards across platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years related work experience with 2 years in UX/UI.
• BE/B.Tech or equivalent; graduate degree preferred.
• 5–6+ years leading UX/UI or Product Design teams.
• Regulatory license/registration required per Compliance.
• Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, or Investment Management.

Role Summary

This role partners with teams across sub‑divisions and leads the team to define the strategy and design direction, architecture, development, and content disciplines and ensure cohesion across all communication channels. Additionally, this role ensures alignment between user experience strategy and overall business objectives to drive consistent and impactful digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Create user experience interface architecture strategies, lead program‑level initiatives to meet business goals. Leverage research, conceptualization, visual design, information architecture to resolve complex issues.
• Work with various teams to coordinate and deliver design, prototype, documentation, and strategy to improve the user experience. Present and recommend solutions to senior leaders, internal partners, and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor team to research and deliver competitive and quality solutions.
• Use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to continually improve the user experience. Analyze data and user feedback to make critical design decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑divisional teams and product owners to define user and business requirements. Partner with the development team through to execution.
• Ensure consistency in design standards, brand guidelines, and user experience principles across all digital platforms.
• Drive innovation by identifying emerging UX trends, tools, and technologies to enhance product experiences.
• Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of design strategies and user engagement.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and design‑thinking sessions to align cross‑functional teams on user‑centric solutions.
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 8 years related work experience, two years of User Experience or User Interface experience.
• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent combination of training and experience in a creative or technical field. Graduate degree preferred.
• This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. SEBI, RBI, or other applicable Indian regulatory bodies). These will be determined by Compliance based on role‑specific duties.
• 5–6+ years of experience leading UX/UI or Product Design teams.
• Deep expertise in: User Experience (UX) Design, User Interface (UI) Design, UX Strategy, Design Leadership, People Management, Stakeholder Management, Cross‑functional Collaboration, Product Design Oversight.
• Proven success building, leading, and scaling UX teams.
• Strong communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with global and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across Design, Strategy, Research, and Content.
• Financial Services, FinTech, or Investment Management experience.
• Exposure to Content Strategy and Information Architecture.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven design tools and prototyping solutions.
• Passion for innovation and customer‑centric design.

This role is based in Hyderabad, Telangana at Vanguard’s India office. Only qualified external applicants will be considered.
