SaveLIFE Foundation is India's leading road safety systems reform organisation. We work at the intersection of policy, engineering, enforcement, trauma care, and data science to reduce road crash fatalities - not as a charitable project, but as a question of public health, governance, and equity.
Over the past 18 years, we have:
- Led the campaign behind India's Good Samaritan Law (2016) and contributed to the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act (2019)
- Reduced fatalities by 58% on the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, 65% on National Highway 48, and 45% on the Yamuna Expressway - validated by independent audit and adopted as a national highway safety standard by the Bureau of Indian Standards
- Designed and now scale the Zero Fatality Corridor (ZFC) and Zero Fatality District (ZFD) - proven governance models that India's states and the central government are embedding into their own road safety architecture
- Signed MoUs with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, nine state governments, and four premier academic institutions (IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Kanpur, and AIIMS Rishikesh)
- Built data and AI platforms that are reviewed at Chief Minister and Union Ministry level to guide real-time road safety decisions
Our North Star: to halve India's road crash fatalities by 2030, in line with India's SDG 3.6 commitment.
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and execution-oriented Manager, Talent Acquisition to lead end-to-end recruitment across functions and levels at SaveLIFE Foundation.
The role will partner closely with functional heads and hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, develop effective sourcing strategies, ensure a structured and fair selection process, and deliver high-quality hires within agreed timelines.
We are looking for someone who treats recruitment as a craft rather than a series of requisitions to close: someone who can map a market, identify the right passive candidate, and make a genuine case for why SLF is worth joining.
The role calls for a thoughtful, technology first approach to sourcing and candidate engagement, using AI and modern recruitment tools where they add real value.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Partner with functional heads and HR leadership to translate workforce requirements into clear hiring plans.
- Manage recruitment across multiple functions and levels, including critical and leadership positions.
- Develop sourcing strategies based on role complexity, urgency, seniority, and talent-market availability.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill positions.
Recruitment & Selection
- Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from requisition to offer acceptance and onboarding handover.
- Map relevant organisations and talent pools for each open role, and proactively identify strong passive candidates who aren't actively job hunting.
- Use AI enabled sourcing tools to identify and reach candidates more efficiently and precisely.
- Present SaveLIFE Foundation clearly and credibly to candidates, articulating the exposure, ownership, and impact the role offers.
- Sustain candidate interest and engagement through a multi step interview process.
- Represent SLF's mission and culture authentically in every conversation.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a recruitment partner to hiring managers and functional leaders.
- Advise stakeholders on sourcing strategy, market availability, candidate quality, compensation expectations, and hiring timelines.
- Establish clear recruitment timelines and ensure timely feedback from interview panels.
- Escalate risks and bottlenecks proactively and drive closure.
Recruitment Process Excellence
- Maintain consistent recruitment processes across all functions, including structured interview frameworks, evaluation rubrics, and offer workflows.
- Deliver against an ambitious hiring plan while protecting quality and mission fit.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data and reporting on the HRMS (Zoho), giving the CPO and leadership team clear visibility.
Candidate Experience & Employer Branding
- Design and deliver a candidate experience in keeping with SLF's calibre: timely communication, clear expectations, and respectful feedback at every stage.
- Continuously refine SLF's Employee Value Proposition based on candidate feedback and market insight.
- Own the offer and pre onboarding experience, so candidates feel connected to the mission from day one.
Recruitment Analytics & Reporting
- Maintain recruitment dashboards and provide periodic reports to HR leadership and functional heads.
- Stay current on AI tools and platforms for sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement, and adopt those that genuinely improve outcomes.
- Bring a curious, experimental mindset to recruitment technology, evaluating new tools rather than relying only on familiar ones.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment, preferably with experience across multiple functions and levels
- A relevant qualification in HR, organisational psychology, or management; a postgraduate degree / MBA in HR is preferred
- A track record of engaging and convincing hard to reach, passive candidates to seriously consider, and join, an organisation.
- Experience hiring mid-to-senior level positions and managing multiple vacancies simultaneously.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management and partnering with functional leaders and hiring managers.
- Demonstrated ability to run recruitment consistently at scale, not just close individual roles opportunistically.
- Genuine interest in AI and modern sourcing tools, and comfort evaluating and adopting new platforms.
- Experience managing recruitment vendors and external hiring partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to represent SLF's mission credibly to senior, discerning candidates
- Genuine interest in SLF's purpose, with the judgment to identify candidates who will thrive in a mission driven, fast paced environment.
What You’ll Gain
- A unique platform to lead change at scale, with the ability to directly influence infrastructure and policy in India and beyond.
- The chance to work with India’s only organization that combines system reform with on-ground action for road safety.
- Cross-sector exposure across engineering, governance, public health, and civic engagement.
- An entrepreneurial environment that values innovation, courage, and execution excellence.
- An opportunity to be part of a globally recognized movement saving thousands of lives each year.
SaveLIFE Foundation is for you if you
- Crave purpose in your work and want to solve real problems for real people.
- Thrive in a high-performance environment where outcomes matter.
- Are passionate about improving systems through technology and design.
- Want your work to matter—not just for your company, but for your country.
What success looks like:
- On track to fill High priority Hiring requirements, without compromising on candidate quality or mission fit.
- A structured, consistent recruitment process is in place across all functions, with clean pipeline data on Zoho.
- Candidate experience is visibly stronger, reflected in feedback and offer acceptance rates.
- A meaningful number of hard to reach, passive candidates have been successfully sourced and converted especially for senior roles
- The functional leaders see this role as a genuine sourcing partner, not just a requisition filler.

- Strong ownership and accountability for recruitment outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Data-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative and capable of influencing without formal authority.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Committed to fair, inclusive, and values-aligned hiring.
