Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Manager – Strategic Sourcing in Ahmednagar to lead procurement for fabrication, coating, and mechanical components. You will drive cost reductions, supplier performance, and PPAP activities with vendors while coordinating cross-functional teams in a manufacturing context.

The role requires 5–8 years of sourcing experience, a Mechanical BE/BTech, and strong Excel/VBA/Python skills to deliver MIS reports and spend analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience of sourcing Fabrication, Powder Coating, Press Parts, Moulding, Fasteners, Bought-out parts required for Business. Having good knowledge of CNC punching & bending. Possessing strong process expertise and a fundamental understanding of manufacturing concepts.
• Cost saving: Annualized accrued saving target of 3% of material cost budget thru procurement optimization.
• Commodity rate revision between 1st to 5th of every month. Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel, including tools such as VBA, Python, etc.
• To develop parts within agreed lead time and cost. Along with hands-on PPAP activity implementation at the vendor end.
• Capability in generating MIS reports, conducting spend analysis, implementing activity-based costing, zero-based costing, and undertaking supplier de-risking and rationalization.
• Experience in supplier assessment, training, and improvement
