7-Eleven Global Solution Center – India is seeking a Manager, Security Operations Center (SOC) to lead the day-to-day operations from Bangalore, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, investigation, and response to cybersecurity threats across the enterprise. The role provides operational leadership to SOC analysts and engineering teams while partnering with US Security Operations leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• 8–12 years of cybersecurity experience.
• 3–5 years leading Security Operations teams.
• Experience operating enterprise SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR and threat intelligence platforms.
• Strong knowledge of incident response, threat detection and cyber defense.
• Preferred Certifications – CISSP, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Splunk.

Job: Manager, Security Operations Center (SOC)

Job Description

The Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Global SOC from the India GSC, ensuring effective monitoring, detection, investigation, and response to cybersecurity threats across the enterprise. The role provides operational leadership to SOC analysts and engineering teams while partnering closely with the US Security Operations leadership to improve security posture, optimize processes, and deliver high-quality security services.

Operations

Responsibilities:

• Lead 24×7 SOC operations and ensure adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).


• Oversee security monitoring, triage, incident investigation, containment and escalation activities.


• Ensure consistent execution of incident response playbooks and standard operating procedures.


• Manage shift operations, staffing plans, workload balancing and operational readiness.


• Lead incident coordination and post-incident reviews. Ensure timely communication with global stakeholders during high-severity incidents.


• Drive continuous improvement of SOC operations through root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and collaboration with Security Engineering and SIEM teams to enhance detection quality and reduce false positives.


• Advance SOC maturity by promoting SOAR-based automation, optimizing workflows, and supporting proactive threat hunting initiatives to strengthen the organization's security posture.


• Develop executive dashboards and operational reports.


• Track and improve key SOC metrics including Mean Time to Detect (MTTD), Mean Time to Respond (MTTR), SLA compliance, quality and Incident trends.

People & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary GSC point of contact for Global SOC operation.


• Partner with US SOC leadership on strategy, roadmap and operational priorities and present operational updates to senior leadership.


• Recruit, mentor, coach and develop SOC personnel.


• Conduct performance reviews and establish individual development plans.


• Build a high-performance, collaborative and customer-focused team culture.


• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with Infrastructure, Cloud, Identity, Network, Application Security and Risk teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.


• 8–12 years of cybersecurity experience.


• 3–5 years leading Security Operations teams.


• Experience operating enterprise SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR and threat intelligence platforms.


• Strong knowledge of incident response, threat detection and cyber defense.


• Preferred Certifications – CISSP, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Splunk.


• Technical Skills - SIEM platforms, EDR/XDR technologies, SOAR automation, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST Incident Response Framework, Threat Intelligence, Cloud security monitoring and Vulnerability management.
