Job summary
DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Kattupalli seeks a Manager - Shopfloor Coordinator to oversee assembly, integration, testing, commissioning and deployment of underwater systems such as AUVs and ROVs, ensuring schedules and quality.
The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams across mechanical, electrical, electronics and software, driving project plans, troubleshooting issues and generating procedures, SOPs and test reports to support sea trials.
Qualifications
- BTech or equivalent degree is required.
- 3–10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with underwater systems is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to sea trials and field deployments.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shop floor assembly, integration, testing, commissioning and deployment activities of underwater systems to meet project schedules.
- Plan, monitor and execute shop floor activities to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate resources, materials and manpower for timely delivery and successful sea trials.
- Lead assembly and integration of underwater mechanical systems and subsystems with cross-functional teams.
- Support acceptance testing, qualification activities, harbour trials and sea trials.
- Prepare assembly procedures, SOPs, test procedures and project documentation.
