Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate shop floor assembly, integration, testing, commissioning and deployment of AUV, ROV and other underwater systems. The role emphasizes schedule adherence, quality compliance and successful sea-trial execution.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating resources, driving integration across mechanical, electrical, electronics and software domains, and ensuring documentation and vendor/customer coordination are up to date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor and execute shop floor activities to meet project schedules.
• Coordinate resources, materials and manpower for timely delivery.
• Track progress and resolve execution bottlenecks.
• Lead assembly and integration of underwater mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Coordinate integration activities with electrical, electronics and software teams.
• Support acceptance testing and qualification activities.
• Diagnose system-level issues during integration and testing.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support environmental, operational and qualification testing.
• Plan and coordinate harbour trials, commissioning activities and sea trials.
• Support deployment, recovery and validation of underwater systems.
• Prepare assembly procedures, SOPs, integration plans, test procedures and reports.
• Maintain configuration records and technical documentation.
• Interface with vendors for fabrication, inspection and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with internal and customer stakeholders for project execution

Purpose of Role

To coordinate shop floor assembly, integration, testing, commissioning and deployment activities of AUV, ROV and other underwater systems while ensuring schedule adherence, quality compliance and successful sea-trial execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan, monitor and execute shop floor activities to meet project schedules.
