Job summary

KONE India is seeking a Project Manager to oversee regional scope, schedule and budget for installation and delivery across customer sites. The role emphasizes proactive collaboration with customers and internal teams to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include capacity planning, performance monitoring, on-site customer interaction, and leadership of Supervisors and field teams. A focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement is essential.

Responsibilities

• Project delivery and installation planning, resource optimization, and cost control.
• Monitor installation performance, report deviations, and drive corrective actions.
• Support installation supervisors to manage schedules and costs.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ensure subcontractor quality and manage customer interactions on site.
• Lead and develop project Supervisors; manage team capacity per plans.

What we are looking for?

A competent project management professional accountable for managing the scope, schedule and budget of the assigned region. Project Manager is accountable for managing the interface with all key stakeholders both internally and externally during the region, especially focusing on continuous, proactive collaboration with the customer. His/her primary objectives are customer satisfaction and KONE profitability.

What will you be doing?

Project delivery and Installation

• Responsible for Installation capacity planning and accountable for optimized resource (people and tools) utilization
• Actively monitors and reports installation performance, ensures action on deviations
• Supports Installation Supervisors to maintain and manage installation schedules and costs
• Is responsible for continuous improvement of safety, quality and productivity
• Is responsible for managing the quality of installation subcontractors
• Supports Supervisors with customer interaction on site as well as with installation related customer disputes and escalations management

Leadership / People management

• Manages the competence, activities and performance of Project Supervisors
• Proactively manages the capacity of his/her team as per the decisions made in the Sales and Operations planning process
• Performs site and process audits within his/her team to ensure compliance with installation methods, safety policies and KONE Way / locally agreed practices

Operations management

• Ensures that both KONE and subcontracted installers are trained, certified, competent and capable to carry out their work
• Is responsible for making sure that the safety and quality audits are carried out
• Is responsible for the development of supervisors, Installers and Field Trainers and installation admins
