Job summary

Metso in India seeks a Manager, Sourcing & Procurement to lead strategic sourcing for Services, manage key suppliers, and align with Engineering, Projects and Proposals. You will drive end-to-end procure-to-pay processes, maintain SAP updates, and provide timely reporting.

The role requires deep supplier development, cross-functional collaboration Pan-India, and strong negotiation with a focus on Mechanical, Hydraulic and E&I components.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in Mechanical or Electrical & Automation.
• Minimum 10 years in procurement & sourcing activities.
• Technical understanding of products engineering and manufacturing.
• Strong English communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently handle key development initiatives in Services Business line sourcing.
• Sending RFQ, negotiations and order finalization, expediting.
• Maintaining a planning and sourcing schedule for projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, projects and quality for timely clearances.
• Close follow-up with vendors to achieve desired results.
• Maintain load schedule/rating for vendors.
• Supplier development in mechanical, hydraulic and E&I components.
• Frequent travels to suppliers Pan India.
• Product knowledge of grinding, bulk material handling, filtration, smelting, hydrometallurgy, beneficiation, de-watering, crushing & screening.
• Solid understanding of SAP-MM, Salesforce and MS-Office.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing the strategic sourcing activities for Services and to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. The role requires end-to-end procure-to-pay process for the strategic sourcing requirement along with SAP updates and reporting. There is a great need to manage key suppliers and internal stakeholders in Engineering, Project management and Proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle key development initiatives in Services Business line sourcing.
• Sending RFQ, Negotiations & Order finalization, expediting.
• Maintaining a Planning and sourcing Schedule for projects
• Coordination with engineering, projects & quality to give timely manufacturing clearances.
• Close follow-up with Vendors to achieve desired results.
• Maintaining the load schedule /rating for vendors.
• Supplier Development in specific categories like Mechanical, Hydraulic and E&I Components..
• Frequent travels to suppliers on Pan India basis
• Preference will be given to a candidate having a product knowledge of equipment related to Grinding, Bulk material handling, Filtration, Smelting, Hydrometallurgy, Beneficiation, De-watering, Crushing & screening.
• Solid understanding for SAP-MM module, Salesforce and experience in MS-Office applications

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or B.Tech/BE in Mechanical or Electrical & Automation
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement & Sourcing activities
• Technical understanding of products engineering and manufacturing
• Understanding of supply processes and practices
• Excellent negotiation and contractual skills
• Secure command of English.
• Good planning and organizing skills
• Solid understanding and experience in MS-Office applications
• Good working knowledge in SAP-MM and Salesforce
• Good communication skills
