Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Ensure that all trade details are pre-matched prior to settlement, minimizing the risk of discrepancies
- Implement and adhere to fails management system to promptly address and resolve any discrepancies encountered during the settlement process
- Supervise the entire settlements process to ensure timely and precise execution, adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards
- Conduct thorough reconciliations to validate the integrity of financial records, swiftly identifying and addressing any discrepancies
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for efficiency enhancements in settlement processes, focusing on streamlining operations and lowering operational costs
- Manage the Securities Borrowing and Lending (SBL) collateral processes to ensure proper handling and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Efficiently manage the conversion processes for American Depositary Receipts (ADR) and Global Depositary Receipts (GDR), ensuring timely execution and compliance
- Actively participate in project initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure that new systems, processes, and tools align with business requirements and enhance operational effectiveness
Requirements
- Graduate with at least 5 years of experience in the securities, banking, or a related industry
- Should have team handling experience for at-least 2 years
- Strong knowledge of US Equities, DTC workflow, 23*5 market operations including relevant practices and trends.
- Knowledge of European, Asian equity and fixed income products will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with senior management
- Candidate should be open to work in Asia / EU / US shifts depending on work requirement.
- Multitasking ability to manage priorities effectively
- Capable of building rapport with management, local offices, brokers, and clients
- Self-motivated with a strong eagerness to learn and take on challenges
- Proactive in pursuing growth opportunities and mentoring others while managing risks and adapting to changes in project management
