Job summary

Deloitte & Touche GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft in Mumbai seeks a Manager to lead SAP ABAP delivery across implementations, rollouts, migrations, transformations, and AMS engagements. Qualifications

• 9–12 years hands-on SAP ABAP development with S/4HANA

• Strong expertise in ABAP Programming, OOABAP, ALV Reports, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Workflows, BAdIs, RFCs, IDocs, and ALE

• Good knowledge of SAP architecture, lifecycle management, and development governance

• Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, BAS, Build, and Integration Suite
• Experience supporting S/4HANA migration and transformation projects

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP ABAP delivery across multiple engagements ensuring high-quality, timely execution
• Drive technical solution architecture and development strategy for SAP programs
• Manage end-to-end delivery of SAP technical objects (RICEFW)
• Lead S/4HANA development using ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, and Embedded Analytics
• Collaborate with MM, SD, FICO, PP, EWM, HCM, Ariba, and other SAP modules to design scalable solutions
• Review requirements, prepare designs, and oversee development per SAP standards
• Conduct design reviews, code quality checks, security reviews, and governance activities
• Drive performance optimization and root-cause analysis for SAP applications
• Lead SAP integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, IDocs, RFCs, and CPI/Integration Suite
• Support S/4HANA transformation, migration, upgrade, and code remediation
• Oversee project planning, estimation, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication
• Participate in client workshops, architecture reviews, and governance forums
• Mentor SAP ABAP consultants and foster continuous improvement
• Manage production support escalations and service delivery commitments

• Drive performance optimization, technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of critical SAP application issues.

Key Requirements

• 9-12 years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience with strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA technologies.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience leading SAP technical teams and managing technical workstreams.
• Strong expertise in ABAP Programming, Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP), ALV Reports, Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, Workflows, Enhancement Framework, BAdIs, User Exits, BAPIs, RFCs, IDocs, and ALE.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA development technologies, including CDS Views, AMDP, OData Services, RAP Framework, and Embedded Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of SAP technical architecture, development lifecycle management, and SAP application design principles.
• Hands-on experience integrating SAP applications using REST APIs, SOAP Services, SAP CPI/Integration Suite, IDocs, and enterprise integration frameworks.
• Experience leading technical estimations, solution architecture reviews, delivery planning, project governance, and quality assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP, Business Application Studio (BAS), SAP Build, and SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA migration, transformation, RISE with SAP, and custom code remediation projects.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based repositories, and automation frameworks is highly desirable.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.
• SAP ABAP, SAP S/4HANA Technical, SAP BTP, or SAP Fiori certification is preferred.
• Additional certifications in Integration Suite, SAP Architecture, Agile, Scrum, or Project Management will be an added advantage.
