Job summary

EXL is seeking a back office finance and accounting professional in Noida with 9–12 years of experience in reinsurance FP&A and accounting compliance. The role focuses on cession statements, data balancing, settlements, and monthly reconciliations for captive clients.

Candidate should have expertise in ledgers, financial reporting, and ad hoc projects, with strong communication skills and familiarity with Power BI and Alteryx.

Qualifications

• Masters in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
• Qualified/Semi-qualified accountant.
• 10 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Own handlings reinsurance cession statements for captive clients.
• Monthly data balancing and settlements of reinsurance balances.
• Financial adjustments to ledger, reporting and system conversions.
• Monthly reconciliations and monthly/quarterly analytics.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and related reports for senior management; assist with ad hoc projects.
• Knowledge of reinsurance FP&A and accounting policies & compliance.

Responsibilities

• The primary responsibilities include ownership of handlings reinsurance cession statements for captive clients.
• This includes monthly data balancing, settlements of reinsurance balances
• Financial adjustments to ledger, financial reporting, financial systems conversions
• monthly reconciliations and monthly/quarterly analytics
• Perform accounting functions resulting in accurate and timely financial statements and related reports for senior management. This position will also assist with ad hoc departmental projects
• knowledge of reinsurance FP&A process and understanding of accounting policies & compliance and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Masters in accounting/finance/Qualified/Semi Qualified Accountant
• 10 years' experience in insurance/reinsurance processes
• Knowledge and expertise of tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, etc. is preferred
