Quickbase India Private Ltd. is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to own the quality strategy for a major product domain while leading a team of Quality Engineers across several engineering squads.

The role emphasizes automation, AI-assisted testing, and a culture of shared responsibility for software quality. You will partner with leaders, tech leads, and product managers to improve delivery predictability, quality, and customer outcomes, while guiding architectural decisions in test

Qualifications

Demonstrated success managing and developing a high-performing Quality Engineering team.
Experience with AI-assisted software development including AI assisted test generation, model evaluation, and skills/playbooks.
Experience leading distributed teams across locations and time zones.
Understanding of fundamental quality engineering strategies and practices.
Ability to influence decisions on teams without direct authority.

About the Role

As a Quality Engineering Manager, you will own the quality strategy for a significant product domain while leading a talented team of Quality Engineers supporting multiple engineering teams. Through your partnership with other Quality Engineering (QE) leaders, you’ll help shape and evolve our quality tooling and practices and continue to build a culture where quality is a shared responsibility. Our teams support quality efforts across multiple product domains, invest heavily in automation, and embrace AI-assisted development.

This role requires technical judgement, strong people leadership, and the ability to build trust across teams. Success in this role is measured by the quality of the software your team helps deliver, the growth of the quality engineers you lead, and your ability to influence how quality is built into the software development lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Lead, coach, and develop a team of 6–10 Quality Engineers supporting multiple engineering teams and product initiatives.

Own the quality strategy for a product domain by partnering closely with other leaders, tech leads, and product managers to improve software quality, delivery predictability, and customer outcomes.

Provides technical and architectural leadership in test automation, frameworks, CI/CD, and testing standards.

Partner with QE leadership to define and evolve scalable quality practices and AI-assisted testing solutions, translate those into clear team priorities and goals, and drive consistent adoption to improve quality outcomes.

Balance competing priorities across multiple engineering teams, helping stakeholders understand tradeoffs while ensuring the highest-value work receives appropriate quality investment.

Coach and mentor through clear, actionable feedback -- developing technical and leadership capabilities, clarifying promotion expectations, and supporting career growth.

Lead teams through ambiguity, changing priorities, and organizational change while maintaining focus, engagement, and delivery excellence.

Influence engineering teams to build quality earlier in the software development lifecycle through collaboration, data, and thoughtful decision-making.

Experience

We Think You'll Need Demonstrated success managing and developing a high-performing Quality Engineering team. Experience with or working knowledge of AI-assisted software development; including AI assisted test generation, model evaluation, and skills/playbooks. Experience developing and scaling quality processes that drive greater efficiency and support organizational growth. Experience leading and working with distributed teams across multiple locations and time zones. Understanding of fundamental quality engineering strategies and practices. Demonstrated ability to influence decisions on teams without direct authority.
