Job summary

Macquarie Group in Hyderabad is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering leader to drive automation strategies across the IAM program, embedding quality ownership and partnering with engineering, product and release teams to deliver secure, scalable software.

You will lead QE transformation with Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL and API automation, in a strong Agile CI/CD environment, and champion AI-assisted testing to boost automation effectiveness.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will be a hands‑on technical leader responsible for defining automation strategies, driving quality engineering transformation, and embedding quality ownership across multiple teams. Leveraging deep expertise in modern test automation, CI/CD, and engineering best practices, you will partner with engineering, product, and release stakeholders to ensure high‑quality delivery and continuous improvement. You will also champion AI‑assisted quality engineering practices to improve automation effectiveness, test design, and overall QE productivity.

What You Offer

• 10–16 years' experience in Quality Engineering, software testing, and test automation.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL and API automation.
• Proven experience defining test strategies, automation frameworks, and release quality practices in Agile CI/CD environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience influencing teams and driving QE transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to AI‑assisted testing, performance testing, security testing, cloud platforms, and microservices architecture.
