Job summary

Lenskart Manufacturing invites an experienced Manager - Quality to lead quality across all manufacturing processes at our Gurgaon plant. You will drive robust quality systems, ensure product compliance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives with hands-on leadership.

You will oversee supplier quality, in-process QC, audits, and regulatory compliance, collaborating with production, engineering, and procurement to deliver zero-defect eyewear for global markets.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the plant Quality strategy aligned with global standards.
• Build scalable quality systems for multi-product, multi-line growth.
• Lead quality governance reviews with HODs and plant head, providing actionable insights.
• Ensure zero-defect manufacturing and customer-centric product quality.
• Drive in-process quality, early defect detection, and RCA for improvements.
• Strengthen supplier quality, IQC and vendor development programs.
• Lead audits and ensure ISO/GMP compliance and audit readiness.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Manager Quality is a key role at the Lenskart Manufacturing plant who ensures quality excellence across all manufacturing processes by driving robust quality systems, maintaining product compliance,
leading continuous improvement initiatives. This role calls for a hands-on operations professional with full responsibility for product quality, in-process quality, supplier quality, system quality, customer quality, and
regulatory compliance.
This role is central to Lenskart's vision of delivering globally benchmarked eyewear products, strengthening in-house manufacturing capability, and supporting expansion into international markets through world-class

quality systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Quality Strategy & Governance
   Define and lead the overall plant Quality, aligned with global manufacturing standards.
   Build scalable quality systems capable of supporting multi-product, multi-line growth.
   Lead quality governance reviews with HODs, and plant head providing clear insights and actionable plans.


2. Product Quality Assurance
   Ensure zero-defect manufacturing and customer-centric product quality.
   Lead end-to-end quality assurancefrom raw materials to finished goods dispatch.
   Strengthen quality control (QC) protocols for lenses, frames, assemblies, and customer orders.
   Oversee advanced testing, inspections, and certifications as required for global markets.


3. In-process Quality & Manufacturing Excellence
   Drive in-process quality discipline across all manufacturing operations.
   Implement systems for early detection and prevention of defects (Poka-Yoke, SPC, FMEA)
   Reduce rejections, reworks, customer complaints, and returns through structured root cause
   analysis (RCA)
   Strengthen quality checkpoints, digital controls, SOP adherence, and manufacturing audits.


4. Supplier Quality Management & Incoming Quality
   Develop robust Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) systems to ensure material consistency and reliability.
   Lead supplier audits, qualifications, and continuous improvement programs.
   Ensure 100% compliance of incoming materials through IQC and vendor performance metrics.
   Work with procurement for vendor development, corrective actions, and quality improvements.


5. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
   Lead customer quality initiatives by collaborating with CX, retail, and after-sales teams.
   Analyze customer complaints, returns, and NPS feedback to identify systemic improvement areas.
   Build a strong feedback loop from field to factory to drive proactive improvements.


6. Quality System, Audits & Certifications
   Strengthen QMS and drive compliance with ISO, GMP, regulatory, and international quality standards.
   Lead internal and external audit's certification bodies, regulatory agencies, and international partners.
   Establish documentation, traceability, and data-driven quality management practices.
   Ensure 100% audit readiness throughout the year.
