Job summary

Federal Soft Systems Inc in Telangana, India, seeks a senior QA/QC leader to head the Quality Assurance and Quality Control department at the manufacturing plant.

You will build and maintain the Quality Management System, develop QA plans and inspection procedures, ensure raw materials, in-process and finished goods meet standards, and drive continuous improvement with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and head the QA/QC department at the plant.
• Manage QA/QC staff with diverse skillsets.
• Design, implement and maintain the QMS for manufacturing processes.
• Develop QA plans and inspection/test procedures aligned with drawings and specifications.
• Ensure quality of raw materials, in-process activities, finished goods and site installations.
• Identify defects and drive corrective actions, reducing rework and non-conformities.
• Coordinate with customers, third-party inspectors, consultants and internal stakeholders during inspections and audits.
• Develop SOPs and train QA/QC staff across levels.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• a) Candidate is expected to head and lead Quality Assurance and Quality Control department for the manufacturing plant.
• b) Candidate shall be managing and leading group of Quality Assurance and Quality Control staff with various skillsets.
• c) Candidate shall be responsible for devising, implementing and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) for the plant manufacturing process equipment for various core sector industries.
• d) Candidate shall be competent to devise Quality Assurance plan and inspection test procedures in line with engineering drawings, documents, specifications and customers specific requirements.
• e) Candidate shall be responsible for ensuring quality standards for raw materials, in process activities, finished goods and erection/installation of equipment at site, as per laid down/documented procedures.
• f) Job involves analysis and remedial actions for elimination/minimising defects, reworks, rejection and non-conformities.
• g) Job involves interaction with customers, third party inspection agencies, consultants and various internal stakeholders, for handling inspections at various stages and during surveillance/recertification audits.
• h) Job involves devising standard operating procedures and systems for efficient running of QA/QC department and training/grooming of staff at various levels such as QA/QC engineers, job inspectors, NDT technicians, etc.
