Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. in India seeks an experienced engineer to lead joint investigations into field issues across pan-India.

You will drive vehicles when needed and apply deep knowledge of vehicle systems to identify root causes within the DAC framework. The role requires 8–10 years in the Automobile PV sector and involves data analysis, MIS reporting, and cross-functional closure of field and internal concerns.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Mechatronics (full time).
• 8–10 years of experience in the Automobile PV segment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend vehicle level joint investigations to identify root causes in field pan India.
• Drive the vehicles when required.
• Maintain strong knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Resolve internal concerns related to DAC with cross-functional teams.
• Perform data analysis on field issues and DAC performance.
• Monitor field complaints daily and assess effectiveness of actions.
• Generate Field concern MIS and publish reports and PPTs for higher management.
• Take actions with manufacturing, supplier quality and design to close field and internal concerns.
• Ensure speedy, time-bound closure of emerging concerns and immobilisation issues.

• 6. Daily monitoring of field complaints & effectivity of actions
• 7. Genearte Field concern MIS & publish report, PPT for higher management
• 8. Take appropriate actions in association with manufacturing, supplier quality & design & for closure of field & internal concerns
• 9. Speedy & time bound closure of emerging concerns & immobilisation concerns

• 2. TAT (Turn around time) for failed part analysis
• 3. TAT for field escalations
• 4. TAT for concern resolution

Experience

8 to 10 Years Experience in Automobile PV segment.

General Requirements

• 1. Willing to work with own hands
• 2. Willing to travel across country at short notice for joint investigations
• 3. Vehicle systems knowledge.
• 4. Good understanding of DAC systems like Chassis, Suspension, steering & wheel end s.
• 5. Good understanding on vehicle level interface of DAC systems
• 6. Good understanding on manufacturing processes like fabrication, sheet metal, machining etc
• 7. Systematic root cause analysis of Failures by QC story approach , 8D methodology Should be able to demonstrate problem solving ability using problem solving tools.
• 8. Conversant with shinin DOE technique , preparation of Fault Tree for Analysis,Ishikawa diagram, statistical tools
• 9. Knowledge of Basic 7 QC & Advance QC Tools.
• 10. Understanding of engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, control plans etc.
• 11. Good at data management & interpretation of data to draw meaningful conclusions
• 12. Good at Excel & Power point presentations.
• 13. Working knowledge of Power BI & AI tools
