Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Group in India seeks a seasoned Manager - Projects and EPC to drive project business development across the country. You will build relationships with EPCs, consultants, and major end users to identify opportunities, secure product approvals, and ensure Pepperl & Fuchs solutions are specified in tender documents.

Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate bids, technical and commercial inputs, and to monitor progress from opportunity to order.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in sales and project work with EPCs and consultants.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi and regional language of India.
• Working knowledge of MS Office tools, ERP and CRM systems.
• Good knowledge of project instrumentation, signal handling, control room technology and explosion protection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Identify upcoming projects, expansions, tenders and investment opportunities in oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical and related industries, while maintaining accurate project information.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to enhance project access and business opportunities.
• Secure approval and inclusion of Pepperl+Fuchs products and technologies in customer specifications, approved vendor lists, tender documents and project requirements.
• Manage project sales activities from opportunity identification and technical discussions through tendering, quotation, negotiation, order placement and project execution.
• Coordinate with sales, product management, technical, factory and service teams to recommend solutions, obtain approvals, prepare bids and resolve customer queries, while monitoring project progress.

Manager - Projects and EPC

Job Tittle: Manager - Projects and EPC

Role Purpose

Drive project business development and sales across India by building strong relationships with EPC companies, consultants, major end users and project stakeholders. Identify upcoming projects and tenders, ensure Pepperl & Fuchs products and technologies are approved and specified, coordinate with internal teams, and support successful project conversion and execution.

Major Accountabilities

• Ensure timely availability of project intelligence and secure participation of Pepperl & Fuchs in upcoming government and private-sector project tenders across India, with appropriate approvals and correct product and technology identification.
• Strengthen engagement with EPC companies, consultants and major end users to drive product approvals, project access, business opportunities and sustainable customer relationships.

Key Performance Indicators

• Achieve approval and specification of Pepper & Fuchs products and technologies across EPC companies in India, while successfully resolving customer and consultant queries related to products, company approvals and manufacturing locations.
• Improve advance project information, project conversion success and business opportunities, particularly across the chemical, oil and gas sectors in India.

Job Responsibilities

• Project Identification & Intelligence: Identify upcoming projects, expansions, tenders and investment opportunities in the oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical and related industries, while maintaining accurate project information.
• EPC, Consultant & End-User Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to enhance project access and business opportunities.
• Product Approval & Specification: Secure approval and inclusion of Pepperl & Fuchs products and technologies in customer specifications, approved vendor lists, tender documents and project requirements.
• Project Sales Management: Manage project sales activities from opportunity identification and technical discussions through tendering, quotation, negotiation, order placement and project execution.
• Technical & Commercial Coordination: Coordinate with sales, product management, technical, factory and service teams to recommend solutions, obtain approvals, prepare bids and resolve customer queries, while monitoring project progress, competition and forecasts.

Job Specific Requirements

• Education: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and project working with EPC companies and consultants.
• Languages: Proficiency in English, Hindi and any other regional language of India.
• Software Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office tools, ERP and CRM systems.
• Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of project instrumentation, Signal handling control room technology and explosion protection techniques.
