Job summary

Pepperl+Fuchs Vertrieb Deutschland GmbH in India seeks an experienced Manager – Projects and EPC to drive project business development and sales. You will build long-term relationships with EPC companies, consultants and end users, ensuring Pepperl & Fuchs products are approved and specified across key projects.

The role requires strong project sales experience in instrumentation, explosion protection, and process automation, with excellent English and Hindi communication.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of sales and project experience with EPC companies.
• Fluency in English and Hindi; additional Indian languages beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation and explosion protection.

Responsibilities

• Identify upcoming projects and tenders across India in oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical and related industries.
• Engage EPC contractors, consultants and end-users to improve project access and opportunities.
• Secure approvals and inclusion of Pepperl & Fuchs products in specifications, vendor lists and tender documents.
• Manage project sales from opportunity identification through tendering, quotation, negotiation and execution.
• Coordinate with sales, product management, technical, factory and service teams to prepare bids and resolve queries.

Identify upcoming projects and tenders, ensure Pepperl & Fuchs products and technologies are approved and specified, coordinate with internal teams, and support successful project conversion and execution.Major AccountabilitiesEnsure timely availability of project intelligence and secure participation of Pepperl & Fuchs in upcoming government and private-sector project tenders across India, with appropriate approvals and correct product and technology identification.Strengthen engagement with EPC companies, consultants and major end users to drive product approvals, project access, business opportunities and sustainable customer relationships.Key Performance IndicatorsAchieve approval and specification of Pepper & Fuchs products and technologies across EPC companies in India, while successfully resolving customer and consultant queries related to products, company approvals and manufacturing locations.Improve advance project information, project conversion success and business opportunities, particularly across the chemical, oil and gas sectors in India.Job ResponsibilitiesProject Identification & Intelligence: Identify upcoming projects, expansions, tenders and investment opportunities in the oil, gas, chemical, petrochemical and related industries, while maintaining accurate project information.EPC, Consultant & End-User Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with EPC contractors, consultants and project stakeholders to enhance project access and business opportunities.Product Approval & Specification: Secure approval and inclusion of Pepperl & Fuchs products and technologies in customer specifications, approved vendor lists, tender documents and project requirements.Project Sales Management: Manage project sales activities from opportunity identification and technical discussions through tendering, quotation, negotiation, order placement and project execution.Technical & Commercial Coordination: Coordinate with sales, product management, technical, factory and service teams to recommend solutions, obtain approvals, prepare bids and resolve customer queries, while monitoring project progress, competition and forecasts.Job Specific RequirementsEducation: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation or an equivalent qualification.Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales and project working with EPC companies and consultants.Languages: Proficiency in English, Hindi and any other regional language of India.Software Skills: Working knowledge of MS Office tools, ERP and CRM systems.Technical Knowledge: Good knowledge of project instrumentation, Signal handling control room technology and explosion protection techniques.Are you excited about this opportunity?
