Job summary

Zydus Lifesciences is seeking an Associate Manager / Manager to lead end-to-end civil, structural, and architectural works for API manufacturing blocks, greenfield sites, and brownfield tie-ins in Vadodara.

The role requires 12–18 years in civil/ construction within pharma, with expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM tools, plus strong vendor management and IS code knowledge.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s in Project Management or Construction Management is a plus).
• Technical Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM tools.
• Domain Knowledge: Heavy equipment foundations, corrosion-resistant pharma flooring, cleanroom partitioning interfaces, IS Codes.
• Soft Skills: Strong vendor negotiation, risk management, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end civil, structural, and architectural works for API manufacturing blocks, solvent storage yards, and warehouses.
• Manage ground-up Greenfield sites and tie-ins/modifications in Brownfield plants.
• Ensure designs and site execution comply with cGMP, USFDA, and local norms.
• Coordinate with process engineering, HVAC, piping, EHS, and validation teams.
• Control project scheduling, BOQ preparation, contractor billing, and budgeting.

Role Overview

• Position Title: Associate Manager / Manager

• Project Types: Greenfield (from scratch) and Brownfield (expansions/modifications in active plants)
• Industry Focus: Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) / Bulk Drug Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities

• Project Execution: Lead end-to-end civil, structural, and architectural works for API manufacturing blocks, solvent storage yards (PESO guidelines), utility buildings, and warehouses.
• Greenfield vs. Brownfield Strategy: Manage ground-up land development, grading, and heavy foundations for Greenfield sites; direct tie-ins, shutdowns, and structural retrofitting safely inside operational Brownfield plants.
• Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure all civil/structural designs and site execution align with cGMP, USFDA, and local statutory/factory norms.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate smoothly with process engineering, HVAC, piping, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and validation teams.
• Cost & Vendor Management: Control project scheduling (MS Project / Primavera), BOQ preparation, contractor billing verification, and budget optimization.
