Job summary

Immacule Life Sciences in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, invites an experienced Civil Engineer to plan, execute, and supervise pharmaceutical plant projects. You will oversee construction activities, ensure budgets, schedules, and compliance with GMP and safety standards.

The role requires 12–15 years in civil engineering with at least 8 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, plus exposure to regulated facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute civil construction and infrastructure projects within defined timelines and budgets
• Lead plant expansion, greenfield/brownfield projects, renovation, and facility modification activities
• Review civil layouts, architectural and structural drawings, BOQs, and engineering designs before execution
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders for project execution
• Supervise construction activities ensuring compliance with engineering standards, GMP and safety regulations
• Manage installation and commissioning support for pharmaceutical utilities and infrastructure (boilers, chillers, DG sets, air compressors, ETP, water systems)
• Prepare project budgets, schedules, work approvals, cost estimates and resource plans
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, material consumption and project progress
• Conduct project review meetings and implement corrective actions to remove bottlenecks
• Ensure statutory approvals and regulatory compliance related to civil projects
• Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance of civil infrastructure across the plant
• Verify contractor bills, measurements, change orders and project documentation
• Maintain engineering documentation, project reports, layouts, as-built drawings and validation support documents
• Drive cost optimization, value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure adherence to EHS, quality systems and company SOPs during project execution

Experience

• 12-15 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Projects, and Plant Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.
• Experience in plant expansion, construction, facility management, and infrastructure development.
• Exposure to regulated pharmaceutical facilities (USFDA/EU-GMP compliant plants preferred).
