Why This Role Matters

At Bal Utsav, we don't just run programs; we engineer whole school transformation. Our flagship program, iShaala and Sampoorna Shaala, provides holistic intervention to revitalize Government schools. As a Manager of Programs & Impact Engagement, you are the bridge between corporate purpose and community impact. We are looking for two dynamic leaders to join our team. We have a strong preference for women candidates who can command a room, inspire volunteers, and manage complex partnerships with precision and care.

The Impact You Will Create

You will lead one of India's most compelling whole school transformation portfolio, covering Infrastructure, Teacher Development, Scholarships, and WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene).

Your work will include:

  • Strategic Portfolio Management: Oversee a significant volunteer-led investment portfolio, ensuring every rupee creates tangible change in schoolyards and classrooms.
  • Partnership Leadership: Build and mentor deep partnerships with implementing organisations, ensuring they meet measurable outcomes aligned with our mission.
  • Volunteer Experiences: Design and lead corporate engagement programs that are strategic, inspiring, and logistically seamless.
  • Field Presence: Spend nearly half your time on the ground to assess program health, capture stories, and co-create action plans with local stakeholders.
  • Sustainable Growth: Manage post-implementation support systems to ensure that our school interventions remain effective for years to come.
Who You Are
  • A Natural Connector: You are hospitality‑minded; volunteers and partners feel seen, valued, and motivated in your presence.
  • A Strategic Storyteller: You don't just deliver events; you design impact and can communicate that message clearly, whether at a microphone or in a boardroom.
  • An Agile Problem Solver: You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, handling deadlines and diplomacy with equal grace.
The Essentials
  • Experience: At least 3 years in education, development, or community engagement, ideally within the Indian public school or CSR ecosystem.
  • Education: A Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, or Social Work is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional public speaking, relationship management, and project coordination abilities.
  • Availability: Ready to travel extensively (45–50%) to see the work where it happens.
