Job summary

ReNew is seeking an experienced procurement professional to manage end-to-end supply chain for electrical category materials and services from its Gurugram location. You will drive category procurement strategy, identify vendors, and coordinate with project teams to meet cost, quality and time targets.

The role requires a BE/BTech in Electrical and 7–9 years of experience in category procurement, with focus on items like UPS, DGs, panels, and related installation works, ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or equivalent is required.
• 7–9 years of experience in category procurement or supply chain.
• Experience handling electrical components and installation services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulate the respective category procurement strategy.
• Understand the site and project requirements and identify potential vendors.
• Evaluate vendor production capacities and highlight feasible volumes.
• Conduct requirement planning and create the procurement plan.
• Prepare internal costing and present to Head Procurement.
• Identify potential vendors for critical items.
• Consolidate and optimize category-wise spend across the organization.
• Explore alternative procurement sources.
• Ensure compliance with ReNew processes.
• Manage timely PO and delivery of direct items and escalate when needed.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships for the respective category.
• Engage with vendors regularly to share project requirements and expedite critical items.
• Coordinate with Quality and Project teams for seamless supplies.
• Monitor and report vendor performance against SLAs.

Job Purpose

End-to-End supply chain management of respective category materials and services such as UPS, DGs, Panels (LT, HT, ACSB, ACDB, SCB), DC Work, AC Work and Sy installation and erection activities within parameters of targeted cost, quality and time, while participating in category management activities as directed by SCM Head.

Roles and Responsibilities

• 1. Formulate the respective category procurement strategy
• Understand the site and project requirement and identify the potential vendors for same.
• Evaluate the production capacities of vendors and highlight the volumes which can be ordered on them.
• Conduct requirement planning and make the procurement plan.
• Prepare internal costing and present the same to Head Procurement.
• Identify the potential vendors for critical items.
• Consolidate / optimise category-wise spend across the Organisation
• Explore alternative sources of procurement
• Ensure compliance to the process of ReNew.
• 2. Manage timely PO & delivery of procured Direct items and raise red flags as required
• 3. Develop and manage vendor relationships for the respective category
• Engage with vendors on a regular/daily basis to share project specific requirement and expedite the critical items.
• Close coordination with Quality Team and Project team for seamless supplies.
• Monitor & report vendor performance and compliance with respect to contracted SLAs
• Consolidate vendor base and institute powerful vendor development processes
• Uphold ethical values in procurement dealings and operations in line with the corporate values
