Tractebel Engineering Private Limited invites applications for Sr. Engineer/ Dy Manager – System Studies in Gurgaon. The role covers power system analysis, master planning for Transmission and Distribution, and development of load forecasting models.

• Experience of undertaking complex, large-scale projects.
• Typically 10+ years’ experience in power system studies.
• Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution planning.

Responsibilities

• Power System Analysis – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Transient Stability, OPF, capacitor placement, PV/QV analysis.
• Security analysis, insulation coordination and EMT studies.
• Relay coordination and harmonic analysis, voltage stability and arc flash studies.
• Master planning for transmission and distribution with reliability considerations.
• Develop load forecasting models and energy mix studies.
• Mentor teams and contribute to AI/ML and analytics initiatives.

Sr. Engineer/ Dy Manager – System Studies

Location: Gurgaon

Job Profile

• Power System Analysis – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Transient Stability, optimal power flow, optical capacitor placement, P-V and Q-V analysis, Voltage stability , Tap changer optimization study, system security analysis, Insulation coordination and EMT studies (TOV, SFO, FFO, VFTO etc) , Relay Coordination, Harmonic analysis, Flicker, voltage fluctuation and Arc Flash studies.
• Power Transmission System Master planning studies involving assessment of SVC, STACOM, HVDC interconnection, Frequency stability, UFLS implementation, AGC and small signal stability analysis.
• Power Distribution System Master planning studies involving PV, Electric vehicle, Battery Storage, reliability analysis and distribution system automation.
• Development of load forecasting models as and when necessary.
• Energy Mix study with calculation of LCOE.
• Transmission, Distribution and Substation basic engineering and Lender’s engineering working experience will be preferred.
• Working towards innovative product development through Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and analytics.

Experience

• Experience of undertaking complex, large-scale, national, and international projects.
• Typically, 10+ years’ experience in the power system studies.

Education Level

• B.E or B.Tech in Electrical engineering is preferred.
• M.E, M.Tech , MS or PhD with specialization in power system is an added advantage.

Hands on Experience

• PSS/E, PSCAD, ETAP, Advanced Excel and Power point is a must.
• Working experience with DigSilent power factory, Power world simulator, MATLAB, Simulink, PV Syst, Homer, CYMDIST, Arc GIS or PLEXOS will be an added advantage.
• Python scripting and coding experience of PSS/E, PSCAD , DigSilent power factory and ETAP with demonstrated history of working is an added advantage.
• Capability in building ".dll" files through Fortran parallel studio will be an added advantage.
• Working experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and IoT and other data analytic tools like Google analytics, Python, R , Power BI or Tableau will be an added.
