Job summary

Molex in Bengaluru is recruiting for a Manager – Planning to lead end-to-end planning across production, materials, inventory, demand, and capacity. You will optimize inventory, plant utilization, and overall operational efficiency while partnering with Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Logistics.

You will drive disciplined S&OP cadence, build executable production schedules, and ensure material readiness with ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Materials Management.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for planning and master data management.

Responsibilities

  • Own the planning rhythm by leading S&OP / demand and supply reviews, aligning stakeholders on a single, feasible plan.
  • Translate demand into executable schedules by building monthly/weekly/daily production plans that balance customer priorities with plant constraints.
  • Ensure material readiness by driving MRP execution and partnering with Procurement and suppliers to prevent shortages and expedite critical items.
  • Optimize inventory health by improving inventory turns, reducing excess/obsolete stock, and strengthening inventory accuracy and controls.
  • Drive capacity and constraint management by identifying bottlenecks early, recommending corrective actions, and supporting ramp-ups and new product introductions.
  • Strengthen planning data and systems by maintaining ERP planning parameters and improving master data quality (BOMs, routings, lead times).
  • Lead continuous improvement by implementing Lean planning practices, standard work/SOPs, and automation or digital planning enhancements

Our Team

You will be part of the Operations organization, reporting to the Senior Manager Operations. The planning team serves as the operational “control tower,” aligning demand, supply, materials, and capacity across functions to deliver reliable service and improved working capital performance

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
  • 8–12 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Materials Management.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a managerial/team leadership capacity.
  • Working knowledge of production planning, MRP/material planning, inventory management, and capacity planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for planning and master data management.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management (or related).
  • Planning leadership experience in automotive, electronics, industrial, cable, or FMCG manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated success improving service levels, schedule adherence, inventory turns, and forecast accuracy through structured S&OP.
  • Experience building dashboards/analytics and driving digital planning/automation initiatives.
  • Strong exposure to Lean/continuous improvement methods applied to planning and supply chain processes.
