Job summary

Tata Projects Limited invites applications for a Manager-Planning role at the Assam site to oversee integrated planning, monitoring, and expediting of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, dispatch, and delivery of vendor supplies for the TSAT Assam Semiconductor Project.

The role interfaces with Project Planning, Engineering, Procurement/SCM, Vendors, QA/QC, Logistics, and Package Owners to ensure critical equipment and materials are delivered on schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Engineering Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Civil or relevant discipline.
• Preferred: Experience in Semiconductor, Data Centre, Industrial, Oil & Gas, EPC/EPCM or large-scale infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor package-wise / vendor-wise procurement and delivery schedules.
• Track vendor progress from PO Engineering Manufacturing Inspection Dispatch Site Delivery.
• Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, QA/QC, Logistics, Package Owners, and Vendors.
• Monitor critical and long-lead items and identify potential delays in advance.
• Drive vendors for timely submission/closure of engineering documents, manufacturing milestones, and inspections.
• Develop recovery plans for delayed supplies and closely monitor corrective actions.
• Ensure deliveries are aligned with Need by Date and construction priorities.
• Maintain daily/weekly vendor expediting and procurement dashboards, including planned vs. actual status.
• Escalate critical issues and supply risks to Project Management with clear action plans.
• Support preparation of weekly/monthly procurement and supply progress reports.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Experience : 7 to 9 years in EPC / Industrial / Semiconductor / Oil & Gas / Infrastructure Projects

The Planning cum Vendor Expeditor will be responsible for integrated planning, monitoring, and expediting of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, inspection, dispatch, and delivery of vendor supplies for the TSAT Assam Semiconductor Project.

The position will act as the key interface between Project Planning, Engineering, Procurement/SCM, Vendors, QA/QC, Logistics, Construction and Package Owners to ensure that all critical equipment, materials, and packages are delivered in line with the approved project schedule and site execution requirements.

The role will focus strongly on identification of supply risks, recovery planning, vendor follow-up, schedule adherence, and timely escalation of critical issues affecting site progress and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

5. Ability to manage multiple vendors/packages under tight project deadlines.
