Job summary

AstraZeneca India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks a Senior Forecast Manager to lead brand forecasting for strategic brands and early assets. You will develop models, identify business issues, and drive improvements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires extensive pharmaceutical forecasting experience, strong data analytics, and excellent communication to align Marketing, Analytics, Operations and Technology.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of direct Pharmaceutical forecasting experience with a solid knowledge of forecasting techniques, models and approaches.
• Experience utilizing a range of data sources and analytics involving standard data in the Pharmaceutical industry – e.g. IQVIA (MIDAS, DDD NPA, Monthly Xponent), claims data (Truven, Marketscan), epidemiological data, etc.
• For US forecasting, experience with TRx / NBRx / NRx data and methodologies
• Strong analytical expertise; superior Excel, financial modelling and forecasting skills
• Project management experience including risk mitigation, planning and running multiple projects running in parallel
• Ability to build trusted relationships across a range of partner groups including Marketing, Analytics, Operations, and Technology
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving and continuous improvement
• Strong written and verbal communication

As a Manager in Forecasting at AstraZeneca, you'll be at the forefront of transforming our ability to develop life-changing medicines. Based at Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore, and working a hybrid shift from 2 PM to 11 PM IST, you'll collaborate with global teams to drive strategic brand forecasts. Accountabilities

As a Forecast Manager, you will work closely with the Forecast Leader and cross-functional teams to develop brand forecasts for strategic brands and early assets. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining forecast models, identifying key business issues, and incorporating research results into forecasts. Your role will also involve leading a team of forecasters, ensuring quality outputs, and driving continuous improvement activities. Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve process-related issues and optimize forecasting processes.

Essential Skills/Experience

• 15+ years of direct Pharmaceutical forecasting experience with a solid knowledge of forecasting techniques, models and approaches


• Experience utilizing a range of data sources and analytics involving standard data in the Pharmaceutical industry – e.g. IQVIA (MIDAS, DDD NPA, Monthly Xponent), claims data (Truven, Marketscan), epidemiological data, etc.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Good understanding of multiple disease areas and how patients move through their respective diagnosis and treatment pathways, including treatment dynamics


• Experience integrating insights from market research and secondary data analysis into forecast assumptions


• Knowledge of advanced statistical forecast methodologies and applied AI / ML / automation


• Understand working on a forecasting platform – including transitioning current BAU to a forecasting platform


• Experience working with Power Apps, specifically PowerBI


• For US forecasting, working knowledge of US Market Access and gross-to-net
