Job summary

Tesco Bengaluru is hiring a senior Controls & Compliance professional to drive end-to-end control frameworks across key people processes. You will manage risk, support audit remediation, and partner with 1st/2nd line teams to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires strong governance, presentation skills, and a focus on ICFR and enterprise controls. The position offers a hybrid work model in Bengaluru, with opportunities to engage senior stakeholders and lead transformation initiatives across

Qualifications

• Experience in controls, IT and audit environments.
• Certifications in finance and governance preferred.
• Knowledge of ICFR and enterprise controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise end-to-end controls frameworks across key people processes.
• Support controls remediation, risk and issue management with senior stakeholders.
• Partner with 1st/2nd line teams and audit functions to ensure timely completion.
• Oversee design, testing, and operational effectiveness of controls.
• Guide control performers and owners; re-engineer procedures and policies.

Job description

• Development and optimisation of end-to-end Controls Frameworks as part of our \"1 RACM\" initiative across all key people processes, across in scope markets with a


• particular focus on TBS


• Supports controls, issue and audit remediation work, partnering with the 1stline teams to ensure this is completed timely


• Managing stakeholders, content and presentation to senior stakeholders


• Assesses SOD for People roles in our systems, ensuring access and conflicts are managed appropriately


• Supports 1st line with External Reporting obligations including CSRD


• Business Partnering with 3rd line teams in Internal and External Audit, and 2nd line teams such as Group Risk


• Review and support the design and operational effectiveness testing of key and non-key controls by working with the testing team in India


• Provide guidance to control performers/owners and other key stakeholders


• Re-engineer procedures, policy, process, controls to mitigate risk


• Work with the wider People R&C team and transformation teams to ensure control requirements are built into new system design
