Manager/AGM Instrumentation & Electrical

Role Overview

PMV Maltings Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and self‑driven Manager Instrumentation & Electrical to independently lead the Instrumentation and Electrical function at its plant. The role requires strong expertise in plant operations, control systems, instrumentation logic design, and electrical systems, along with hands‑on experience in installation and commissioning of new plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Department Leadership

• Head the Instrumentation & Electrical department independently.
• Plan, organize, and oversee all activities related to maintenance and operations.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors.

2. Plant Operations & Maintenance

• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of all electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.

3. Instrumentation & Control Systems

• Design, review, and implement instrumentation logic and control philosophies.
• Develop and modify PLC/DCS logic as per operational requirements.
• Ensure proper calibration, functioning, and reliability of field instruments.

4. Electrical Systems Management

• Manage HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, and power distribution networks.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory electrical regulations.
• Optimize power consumption and improve energy efficiency.

5. Project Execution (New Plant / Expansion)

• Lead installation, erection, and commissioning of new plant systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors for project execution.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, and layouts.

6. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and statutory norms.
• Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the team.

7. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage external vendors, service providers, and AMC contracts.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams including production, quality, and management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• 20-25 years of experience in large process plants (e.g., food processing, malt, brewery, chemical, FMCG, etc.).
• Strong expertise in:
• PLC/DCS systems and logic development
• Instrumentation design and calibration
• Electrical systems (HT/LT, panels, drives, etc.)
• Proven experience in plant erection, installation, and commissioning.
• Ability to independently manage a department and take ownership.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in maltings, breweries, or agro‑processing industries.
• Knowledge of automation systems (Siemens/Allen Bradley, etc.).
• Familiarity with SAP or maintenance management systems.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Good knowledge and strong experience of working with Excel, Pivot sheets and Reporting.
• Energy and Fuel Audit for checking efficiency of Boilers (15 Ton), Chillers (1000 TR) and transformers (3500 KVA).
