Job summary

Cyient DLM in Mysuru is seeking an experienced engineer to lead RFQ technical evaluations for PCBA, Box Build and System Integration across Aerospace, Medical, Industrial and Automotive segments. You will perform feasibility studies considering manufacturing capabilities, tooling, and process limits, and prepare technical reports with risk mitigation plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation of RFQs for PCBA, Box Build, and System Integration projects.
• Prepare technical feasibility reports highlighting risks and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with Sales, Program Management, Process Engineering, Procurement and Quality.
• Review customer docs (BOM, Gerber, PCB drawings, assembly drawings, schematics).
• Prepare engineering docs for production release; assess manufacturability of complex assemblies.
• Evaluate special processes like press-fit, selective soldering, wave soldering, potting, and conformal coating.

Job Description

• Lead technical evaluation of customer RFQs for PCBA, Box Build, and System Integration projects for different segments (Aerospace, Medical , Industrial and Automotive )
  
• Perform product feasibility studies considering manufacturing capability, tooling and process limitations.
  
• Prepare technical feasibility reports highlighting manufacturing risks, assumptions, and mitigation plans.
  
• Coordinate with Sales, Program Management, Process Engineering, Procurement, and Quality during RFQ evaluation.
  
• Participate in customer technical discussions to clarify product requirements and manufacturing expectations.
  
• Review customer documentation (BOM, Gerber, PCB drawings, Assembly Drawings, Schematics)
  
• Prepare engineering documentation for production release
  
• Perform product feasibility studies.
  
• Conduct manufacturing risk assessments.
  
• Validate alternate components.
  
• Maintain product documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
  
• Assess manufacturability of complex PCBAs and Box Build assemblies.
  
• Conduct DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews to identify design improvements before production.

• Hands-on exposure to Medical, Industrial, Aerospace & Defense electronic products.
  
• Experience managing First Article Inspection (FAI), including customer submissions and qualification builds.
  
• Strong knowledge of SMT, THT, Box Build, Test Engineering, and high-reliability manufacturing processes.
  
• Experience interfacing directly with customers during technical reviews, NPI kick-offs, design reviews, and manufacturing readiness assessments.
